Same question for a "solo" workout, why is it better? What am I getting that I wasn't getting before? There's some people trying to do this ( Home - VZfit Have Fun. Explore the World. Get Fit. (virzoom.com) ) but I haven't seen anything particularly compelling just yet. (I don't have a quest). Source: over 1 year ago
Had all sorts of fun with VZFit some time ago. Only reason I don't use the service anymore is that my VR fitness regime evolved away from sitting on an exercise bike that wasn't quite perfect for me and I haven't been in the mood to go shopping for a new one. But if that is already a thing that you like doing outside of VR then it's hard to imagine you not loving it. Source: over 1 year ago
He sent me some info, he doesn't work for them anymore the company's site is https://virzoom.com/, but unfortunately it looks like they didn't end up making any projects that were as experimental as the proof of concepts I got to try out. Still pretty cool tech though. Source: almost 2 years ago
Google Earth VR is still available. So is https://virzoom.com/ for vr. Source: about 2 years ago
Https://virzoom.com/ it's for VR, I use it two or three times a week. Source: about 2 years ago
There was one, https://virzoom.com. Source: over 2 years ago
VZFit lets you basically ride google map street data paths. It's $10/month subscription fee though :(. Source: over 2 years ago
Exercise is a daily event. Calisthenics 5 days a week, cardio 7 days a week. 45 minutes weekdays, 30 minutes weekends. I mostly do cardio on an exercise bike. I have an Oculus Quest VR headset that lets me watch movies & play video games, so I can bike around Google Streetview or compete online. Those are subscription options, but it's better than having to drive to the gym & be bored lol! Source: over 2 years ago
I've got one of the VZFit bikes. (I think they just sell add-ons for third-party bikes and treadmills now. But same thing.). Source: over 2 years ago
This is a cool idea but haven't heard much feedback lately- https://virzoom.com/. Source: over 2 years ago
Unfortunately I think they still don’t have a PC version of their app. Just oculus Quest, but I think you’d really dig https://virzoom.com/. Source: over 2 years ago
Have you tried vzfit and vzexplore https://virzoom.com/ ? Source: over 2 years ago
As far as apps that are specifically dedicated to this kind of workout, the only ones I know of are VZFIT and HOLOFIT and I'm not even sure if HOLOFIT can be connected to an actual stationary bike. VZFIT looks like a nice concept, but I'm not sure I'd enjoy biking through google maps. Plus in the videos I've seen so far the resolution on the games doesn't look so great. I've heard good things about this but I haven't tried it myself Https://virzoom.com. Source: almost 3 years ago
Should also mention https://virzoom.com/ and that some crazy people play Pistol Whip - but it certainly isn't recommended! Source: almost 3 years ago
Once I have the hardware, I'll need to decide on the software to run through the Quest 2 headset. It sounds like Zwift, VZfit, and HOLOFIT are three of the more popular options. Are there others I should be considering from a software standpoint? Source: almost 3 years ago
> Imagine a Peloton, but instead of the 2D workout video, you’re in immersive 3D VR cycling trails. https://virzoom.com/ https://www.holodia.com. - Source: Hacker News / about 3 years ago
I workout with VR daily 1-2 hours. Most of the time it doesn't even feel like heavy cardio because all I'm doing is playing games dodging bullets and swinging swords. There are even VR games for stationary bikes (https://virzoom.com/). VR is more accessible, more flexible, offers a lot more variety, all for a much lower price than Peloton and similar offerings. - Source: Hacker News / about 3 years ago
