Since the PDF Expert 3 for Mac also adopted a subscription-based model, I am considering alternatives. UPDF offers almost all of the PDF Expert features for free. They also have a separate PDF converter for the Mac with affordable perpetual licence and OCR capabilities. IOS/IPADOS versions of UPDF are also free with the option of a cheap perpetual licence for the scanning ability. This seems to be the best deal... Source: almost 2 years ago
