  • Which todo apps do you use?
I'm curious, did you mean https://tasks.org/ or something else? Source: 5 months ago
  • Tags not syncing with DecSync CC
Edit: and neither do some other features such as 'Filters'. I was aware that some of the features would not sync since that was mentioned in the tasks.org website. But I did not expect this to happen since the website specifically says that tags are synced with DecSync CC. Source: 10 months ago
  • Just settled into TickTick
I've been trying out a TON of GTD-related apps over the years and recently settled on tasks.org to complement Google Tasks. Honestly, this is an amazing app, but it lacks features that I really want: A Web interface and integration with other applications. Then a week ago, I moved to Todoist, and while it worked great and provided much of what I wanted, its free account limitations were apparent. Bummer, as I... Source: 11 months ago

  • Is there a Linux desktop version?
Then follow me in supporting the project. As I've got little time on my hands atm I'm supporting it financially. And using the tasks.org sync is working well for me (except for the hiccups I denoted in my last two posts and although there's no good desktop solution for my taste as of now). Source: 11 months ago
  • What's you preferred inbox tool and why?
There is no tasks.org web app. And Google really doesn't present a decent web app either for Google Tasks other than as a sidebar in Gmail. THere are extensions and other apps that work fairly well, but nothing native. Source: 12 months ago
  • Good, simple to do list app that’s cross platform?
Tasks.org It's on android and in the cloud, syncs with Google. I've used it for a few years now and I'm very happy with it. Source: 12 months ago
  • Official Round 41 Introduction post
Hi, I'm a mod and long-time 90dger working on a mix of personal routines and project-specific goals. I use GTD via Tasks.org to manage my tasks, Loop to track my routines, and Google Keep to capture anything else. Last round started out pretty good but the second half was a complete fail after I got derailed by some work chaos followed by schedule changes, and never got back on track. So this round I'm going to do... Source: about 1 year ago
  • Alternative to Google Keep?
What about etesync and https://tasks.org/? Source: about 1 year ago
  • Any apps that legitimately changed your life?
I switched from tasks.org to ticktick since web app is a must have for me (and wearos app whould be nice to have have). I know that it integrates with google tasks, but this way I lose most of the important functionality in the web :(. Source: about 1 year ago
  • What app are you using for reference system?
OK, that said, specific to the OP's question, I used to keep "Reference" content in Google Keep, but I have pretty much migrated most of it to using Notion. Why? Because for me, "Reference" content often encompasses information larger than the sentence or two that make up the content in tasks.org. Source: about 1 year ago
  • Trouble with reoccurring tasks on Android
So when you are managing your reoccurring tasks with the tasks.org app, do the reoccurring tasks always show under "My Tasks" even though they aren't scheduled for that day? I cannot for the life of me figure out how to mark one as "Done", when I tap it, it just says "Rescheduled for tomorrow" and it stays on my list. Source: about 1 year ago
  • Do client-apps to selfhosted services generally suck?
Tasks.org on f-droid is fine. Nextcloud is webDAV which is a widely used standard with lots of good apps. DAV sync, thunderbird, gnome calendar, etc. nextcloud-desktop on linux and nextcloud on android work well too - or you can access it like a remote filesystem. The nextcloud app also does photo upload. The News reader is quite usable. I used phone-track for some time and it did it's job fine. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Official Round 40 Introduction post
Hi, I'm a mod and long-time 90dger checking in late. I do a mix of personal routines and project-specific goals. I use GTD via Tasks.org to manage my tasks, Loop to track my routines, and Google Keep to capture anything else. I've been pretty hot or cold over the past few rounds, but also slowly refining my routines. Last round I realized I needed to go more fundamental to focus and improve in 3 basic areas: time... • Looking for a free cross-platform note-taking and to-do list app with modern UI and syncing options
There is https://tasks.org/ though I think it only has an android application, but syncs for use with other applications on those systems. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Thunderbird for Android Preview: Modern Message Redesign
I use it with Fastmail for my main email + calendar + todos, and I use it with Purelymail[1] for simply emails with no nonsense. Both accounts, once setup, just behave. On the groupware front, I use DavX5 and ICSx5 to do to calendar and todo sync to fastmail, and Tasks.org [2] to do the front end for the todos. For my work accounts, I use the nine email app which lets me authenticate to exchange active sync... - Source: Hacker News / over 1 year ago

  • Dockered "Radicale" + mobile app "Tasks.org" work like a charm as easy shared "To-Do List" system, but identity/user/authorization management? Some of you has experience (read: config it) in this matter? I read around but it not so clear to me :(
I'm testing the solution in the title. My goal is having a simple to-do list app that saves data on a selfhosted service and allows the sharing of the lists. Using Radicale as a backend and Tasks.org as mobile app, everything works easily. I evaluate several solutions and this is the better one: Radicale is mature and updated, tasks.org connect to it without the need of DavX5 or other things. Very very good. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Best to do app for a college student
Https://tasks.org/ has today and atleast 3 levels with lists, tasks, subtasks. The fourth one you could do yourself via title prefix or tags. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Automatically add newly created calendars on network/server
Oof, that's a little disappointing. Maybe I'll just do everything through my phone then with tasks.org hah. Source: over 1 year ago
