  • Statista Survey on Remote Work
If you need that social interaction, there are solutions like Tandem etc. that allow for virtual rooms and watercoolers where people can talk to each other all day if they want to. It is popular with some at my workplace, personally I do not need it. Source: 10 months ago
  • Best HelloTalk alternative?
When I search for "tandem" and "app" I find this "preply" which seems to only have payed tutors. Or do you mean "tandem.chat" ? Source: about 1 year ago
  • Zoom shares down 90% from peak as pandemic boom fades
I've used Tandem on and off over the pandemic and it's got some pretty neat features and has some cool calendar functionality with Zoom/Hangouts/etc. Source: over 1 year ago

Great idea! I wonder if https://tandem.chat/ could be something for you? It's for virtual offices but could potentially work for weddings as well - instead of "scheduling" meetings people can just jump into voice chats with each other instantly, kind of like "swinging by" someone's desk in an office. Maybe discord would be an other alternative. Source: over 2 years ago
  • I'm running a remote work experiment - participate?
The only other similar tool I previously came across was tandem.chat. Source: almost 3 years ago
  • How do you all create spontaneity in a remote workplace?
Tools - We're PMs after all - so I did find a couple of tools - - Tandem - a virtual office for remote teams - Tap - Audio-only drop-in audio chats with your team. This is great at creating a low-pressure environment. - Sococo - this one's fun. It's a literal virtual office you can walk around. Great for serendipity but can also be very disruptive. Requires too much work. Same with gather.town. Source: almost 3 years ago
  • Spotaneous conversations in a remote environment
Tools - Is there a tool for this? OF COURSE LOL. Few tools that caught my attention are - - Tandem - a virtual office for remote teams - Ping - Audio and screenshare only drop in chats with your remote team. Great for ad-hoc meetings as you aren't compelled to turn your video on lol. - Sococo - this one's fun. It's a literal virtual office you can walk around. Great for serendipity but can also be very... Source: about 3 years ago
