Https://tabletopia.com/ seems to be a freemium platform for playing many (all?) commercial boardgames and also many standard card games: hearts, bridge, whist, poker etc. And appears to simulate a tabletop for playing with others or solo. I have not played it much but it seems intuitive as a platform for playing many different boardgames online, but is a bit clunky compared to a purpose-built online game. - Source: Hacker News / 4 months ago
Tabletopia. Web app, not many wargames available, I think. Game search is pretty rudimentary. Source: 11 months ago
Tabletopia - Free to start. Build games through their online editor. Source: 11 months ago
Maybe look at finding online options for the "more strategic and lengthy board games"? I know there are lots of options for Diplomacy (which is especially suitable for online play, having discrete turns), but I'm sure you'll be able to find similar online portals for other games (e.g. https://tabletopia.com). Boardgamearena.com and https://tabletopia.com/ have several more games for free as well. Table Top Simulator itself isn't free, but it does have a ton of free mods for board games. Source: over 1 year ago
If it's a bit more complex, either because of non-standard components, or because of non-standard mechanics, you could take a look at tabletopia.com or tabletop simulator (on Steam). These are more powerful, like being able to handle very unusual game components, but can be more difficult to build on, and are somewhat clunky for those playing. Source: over 1 year ago
Tabletopia - I was able to put All-Terrain into this pretty quickly, you can host rooms for guests to play independently without 'officially' publishing, they just need the link you provide. Source: over 1 year ago
And the other quite popular one is https://tabletopia.com/. Source: over 1 year ago
Let me add boardgamearena.com tabletopia.com and screentop.gg to places where you can play games (online, obviously). Source: almost 2 years ago
First suggestion, try games out by playing them on https://boardgamearena.com, https://yucata.de, https://boiteajeux.net, https://tabletopia.com, https://vassalengine.com, and TableTop Simulator (even if you have to play left-hand vs. right-hand). If that really doesn't work, then watching a playthough video is second best. Either of these will provide an up close and detailed view of the mechanism implementation,... Source: about 2 years ago
There are a load of online resources to play games; https://boardgamearena.com, https://yucata.de, https://boiteajeux.com, VASSAL engine (program), https://tabletopia.com (3D environment), and TableTop Simulator on Steam (also 3D environment). All good resources for trying a game before potentially buying, but also for reading rules and becoming familiar with a game before sitting down IRL, if that might help with... Will be for free on https://tabletopia.com soon! Source: about 2 years ago
Check out tabletopia.com. They have other games you could play as well. Source: about 2 years ago
Https://tabletopia.com - much like BGA, but using a 3D environment. I am unsure about aysnc, automation, and rules enforcement. Source: about 2 years ago
You could set up your game on some sites like Tabletopia so people can play it there, or even put it on itch.io (which has a great physical games section)! Source: over 2 years ago
Tabletopia is another good website with board games online to play. Source: over 2 years ago
Https://tabletopia.com/ Found this during the pandemic. Tons of games on here and only one person needs a subscription to host the games. Source: over 2 years ago
The service I've been using to play cards with mum for the last almost two years failed this week. I supplied detailed recreation steps and the poor bugger on helpdesk today got a fix pushed in a couple hours. http://tabletopia.com. #nosponsor. Source: over 2 years ago
I think you want to try this: https://tabletopia.com/. Source: almost 3 years ago
Tabletopia is a free (mostly) online virtual tabletop environment very similar to TTS. It has a guide on how to create your game here. I've looked at it before but never actually tried to make anything, so I can't speak to how easy it is, but it looks fairly simple and I've heard good things about it. Source: almost 3 years ago
Hi! Especially during this pandemic is great to do testing on online simulators. I use https://tabletopia.com/ but there are many options like tabletop simulator, vassall ecc. Testing on a sotfware is also great for fast iteration without printing again components. Source: about 3 years ago
