  If you want something simple like Owlbear, what about TablePlop it has the simplicity of Owlbear while having Character Sheets like Roll20. You can send pre typed messages in the chat for rolls, you can do rolls yourself, it even has fog of war. I have been using this ever since it's beta stages and I love it. haven't changed VTTs ever since. Source: over 3 years ago

  The type of software you're looking for is called VTT (virtual tabletop). It sounds like you only need something basic without complex SRD-specific mechanics. I can recommend simplistic VTTs such as Owlbear Rodeo, Tableplop, or Mythic Table. There are more complex alternatives like Foundry, Roll20, or Fantasy Grounds.   So, this programme looks amazing for Map Generation; really fun and great detail. But how do people use them in game?   As for the maps, I believe PF2 doesn't lend itself well to ToTM games. I strongly suggest to use Tableplop https://new.tableplop.com, which I find to be perfect for PbP, but Google Slides also works OK on desktop (can be frustrating on mobile though). Source: about 4 years ago

  Tableplop is my favorite. It doesn’t have the restrictive upload limits that roll20 has. Tableplop also let’s you put multiple maps in the same scene. I used it to toggle night or day versions of my maps. Tableplop is also free to use and awesome for quickly getting at up. I also love the token system as it makes it easy to keep track or add more enemies. It’s easy to use from both a player and DM side. I love it.... Source: over 4 years ago

  Just to add on to this, lately I've been using Tableplop for PbP maps and liking it. It's not perfect by any means, but it's less clunky than some of the other VTTs I've tried for the purpose (Roll20, Foundry, Maptool, map images in Google Slides. Source: over 4 years ago
