Location is checked when the employee clocks in or out; Swapste does not continuously track staff. For payroll preparation, managers can review confirmed hours, corrections and paid holiday information and export payroll-ready Excel reports. Smart Labour adds labour-cost planning. Managers can enter expected weekly sales and a target labour percentage, compare these against scheduled wage costs, and then enter actual sales to see confirmed labour performance once shifts have been resolved. Swapste is designed to remain simple enough for independent venues without stripping away the features managers actually need. Pricing is £24.99 per venue per month with unlimited staff. The first 30 days are free, there is no long-term contract, and initial rota setup and training are included

Swapste started with a simple hospitality problem: rota changes and shift cover were still being handled through spreadsheets, WhatsApp messages and phone calls. It began as a way to make shift swaps easier, then grew into a broader workforce platform covering rotas, attendance, holidays, payroll preparation and labour-cost planning. The focus has remained the same practical software for independent hospitality operators.
Swapste is built using React Native and Expo, with Supabase for the backend and database, and Vercel for hosting and deployment. The platform also uses secure session-based access, row-level security and production error monitoring.
Swapste is currently working with independent hospitality venues and is not publishing customer names at this stage.
