  • What’s wrong with me and my dad
Also, your fridge would be less stuffed and more importantly your cooking would vastly improve if you 1) used a garlic press on fresh garlic 2) squeezed actual fresh limes and lemons 3) made your own salad dressings 4) on trash day, empty that freaking fridge, throw out all that's expired or even redundant, put the rest on the counter, and clean that fridge interior with soap and water, wiping it down, especially... • Anyone feeling inflation?
Hot tip: If you are running out of money and there are still many days left until you receive your salary, supercook.com let's you select whatever ingredients you have left at home and shows you ideas and recipes for things you can cook with what you have. Source: 12 months ago
  • Cookbooks for food adverse people?
I had a friend teach me how to cook, I mean I basically observed her doing it and became fascinated by it. Cookbooks came later. I can't remember the titles unfortunately. But I do remember using supercook.com allrecipes.com and food52.com a lot. Rachel Ray also tends to be pretty beginner friendly I think. Source: 12 months ago
  • If you are experiencing any level of of food insecurity, avail yourself of HEB's beans and rice Combo Loco: $3.36 for four pounds of rice and a pound of beans, and since you're not eating them dry, that's far more than five pounds of prepared food. Not fine dining alone, but it will keep you alive.
Thank you!! Between this and supercook.com (recipes by ingredients database for zero waste), I feel ADULT. Source: 12 months ago
  • Recipes with no onion, chicken, or garlic
Supercook.com is free, and you can plug in all of your groceries or ingredients you want, and it shows you tons of online recipes, all kinds, to use just those ingredients! Source: about 1 year ago
  • Looking for advice/resources: Helping a depressed friend (& myself!) make more meals at home
Use supercook.com -- it's geared toward no waste, by giving you recipes using the food you have in the house. When you get groceries, you enter each item in (it's fun, you click on the names), then it offers you tons of recipes that you can make with what you have. You can customize it to meal type, how long it should take to make, the key ingredients you want to use, and/or the style of cuisine. Source: about 1 year ago
  • Looking for advice/resources: Helping a depressed friend (& myself!) make more meals at home
I will add to this suggestion a website called supercook.com. I think it is more versatile. Source: about 1 year ago
  • Ideas for recipe using these ingredients
When I'm looking to make a recipe with specific ingredients, I use supercook.com (They also have an app). It searches a huge repository of recipes based on the ingredients you have on hand. I think there may be a few other sites or apps that do the same thing, but I can't remember their names. Source: about 1 year ago
  • Cheap recipes to keep the grocery budget to a minimum?
I like using supercook.com You can list everything you have in your pantry and freezer and it will match online recipes to what you have available. I do that sometimes when I want a "free" meal. The recipes will give you enough for a few days for one person. It also has a neat feature where you can find recipes where you are missing just one ingredient so that is all you have to buy. • Using ChatGPT to clean up left overs
For those of us who aren't yet using ChatGPT, supercook.com is a recipe site where you input your ingredients. Source: about 1 year ago

  • Good meals for Vegans to gain muscles?
I mostly eat beans, lentils, and peanut butter because they are so ridiculously cheap. Sometimes I will buy tofu or tempeh and I've had protein powder before. If you ever don't know what to cook with the ingredients in your house you can use this website: supercook.com It has a vegan filter. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Is there like a recipe website/app?
Supercook.com is a site and maybe they have an app now but you list your ingredients and it'll show you recipes of what you can prepare with what you have. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Anybody else go to order food and then see how ridiculous the price is then think nevermind.
Do it about 4 times a week... So getting tired of my own cooking, but when I see the price of a couple of burgers, plus delivery fees and a inflated mandatory gratuity, I say "Hell no" and then I go and look up recipes on supercook.com. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Tokyo Xanadu eX+ - steam code
Thanks for the giveaway. Supercook is an awesome place to get recipes with the ingredients you have available at the moment. They are custom based, also you can choose from various meal types (you can choose 'quick and easy' option). Source: over 1 year ago
  • Anyone here navigating a nickel free diet while eating plant based? Struggling :(
Find a list of what you CAN eat. Go to supercook.com. Plug in all the ingredients from that list and let it generate recipe ideas. I did that and came up with roughly 3400 recipes. It was at least enough to choose from so I didn't feel stuck with what I was eating. Good luck! Source: over 1 year ago
  • Brickit scans your pile of bricks and gives you ideas, with instructions
Not quite there with the scanning part, but https://supercook.com comes close. - Source: Hacker News / over 1 year ago
  • Do you guys hesitate to buy certain ingredients for recipes because you feel you’ll never use up the leftover?
Check out supercook.com. It was created to reduce food waste. If there's a new recipe I'm considering with a weird ingredient I use it to see if there are other recipes I might like that use that ingredient too. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Website/app for ingredients?
Supercook.com exists just for this. Source: almost 2 years ago
  • A website that you can tell what makeup you have, that gives you looks you can create with it
Similar to https://supercook.com or https://myfridgefood.com but instead of ingredients, you list your makeup and its colors, and the website gives you ideas/(AI generated?) pictures of looks you can create with it. Maybe it can even analyze public images of celebrities and see what makeup they have used; if you happen to have the same products at home, you can (attempt to) recreate their look.
