  • Poll: Should stellar.org contain a live price conversion tool? (discuss in comments)
If the website was called stellardevelopmentfoundation.org or sdf.org that would be different -- but the website is called stellar.org i.e. Represents the Stellar network, hence I think there is value in having it on the stellar.org website. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Poll: Should stellar.org contain a live price conversion tool? (discuss in comments)
Either way, stellar.org is the website for the Stellar Development Foundation, an entity tasked with shepherding the codebase of Stellar (the blockchain network) and promoting use cases on the network. They would not be the one to build a conversion tool. They are the ones building the underlying technology so that other people can build tools like that. Source: over 1 year ago

  • A reoccurring scam
I got this in my email inbox. I did a reddit search and saw a post about three months ago sharing that this seems to be a reoccurring scam, so I thought I'd give a heads up. The email comes from a geneo.in address, the link itself shared the full stellar.org address, but then as .ge after it. It makes the website look legitimate as you can go through it and it looks like the normal stellar foundation website,... Source: over 1 year ago

    > Consensus is only really nessisary for solving problems like payments or namespacing (e.g. namecoin) That is the only credible use-case(s) that the cryptocurrency folks should be looking at. Yep same for me. I've had the issue a couple times in the past as well with ledger live. I read in another forum message that said you can send XLM using stellar.org. Like another person said, just use account viewer and then you can send the transaction without delay. Just choose your ledger in account viewer when it asks which wallet you want to connect to. Works flawlessly for me. Source: over 2 years ago
