Social recommendations and mentions

We have tracked the following product recommendations or mentions on various public social media platforms and blogs. They can help you see what people think about Splice and what they use it for.
  • Is Bitwig Essentials enough for controlling Eurorack Modular?
Buy through splice.com its no interest or fees added and a I think about $8.99 US a month till you pay it off u get same things and updates till its paid off which takes a long time so a steal at the price you own it outright when paid off. Source: about 1 year ago
  • Anyone having troubles with using Cubase 13 on Splice rent-to-own?
I upgraded Cubase to 13, which essentialy adds 6 months to your rent but now I can't use Cubase at all. It says the license expired, and when I click "renew" in the Activation Manager it just brings me to splice.com which says that my license is active... Source: about 1 year ago
  • is pro worth it over artist?
Lastly, if you have exhausted your 60 day trial, and are in need of Pro, but can't spend at the moment, splice.com offers a rent-to-own plan for Cubase Pro. It is always at full price though and never goes on sale, so keep that in mind. Although, it's good to pay $17 for a couple months till the sale arrives, and then crossgrade to it. Will still be quite reasonable. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Where do you get your drums?
I have no shame in saying I use splice , mainly cus of the sample clearance and convenience. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Looking for free or cheap one shot drum and cymbal samples for metal/rock/djent
I like using Splice. They have tons of one shots and loops and it all drags-and-drops right into your DAW. You can probably get a free trial to get what you need, then cancel. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Beginner Friendly DAW?
Very similar to Ableton Live. Check it out. Also, visit splice.com to check out their rent-to-own plan for Bitwig ($15,99 per month). Source: over 1 year ago
  • Any way to know about latest MIDI files available on website or search from app?
Hi there. Bryan from the Splice CX team here. As another poster alluded to, the only way to search for Midi files currently is through the splice.com website and cannot be done through the desktop app. I have passed along the feedback though as its very helpful to our product team for future evaluation on improving our service. • Exporting
It looks like you might be looking for advice regarding Splice the Video Editing App. r/Splice is actually a subreddit for users of Splice.com, a website for royalty free samples (audio). The names are easy to confabulate with one another, but as far as I know the two services are unrelated. I doubt a lot of us here would have a solution to your video problem, since most of us are audio people. Maybe try... Source: over 1 year ago
  • Comment if you take it. Happy Friday.
For anyone interested you can also subscribe to Splice and get lite free. https://splice.com/. Source: over 1 year ago
  • The art of sampling
DHH producers use various sites like Splice to find copyright free samples. (Bollywood isn't liberal about sampling as the foreign countries are). Source: over 1 year ago
  • HMF what the common sample in these two songs are?
It's a sample from https://splice.com/. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Getting high-quality sound effects?
For everyone else, not entirely sure. Have you checked out splice.com? They usually have a trial type of offer, if not you can just pay for a month. Their sounds are pretty clean but are obviously more geared toward music. Searching for foley, sfx, etc. Might help. Anything you get can be used for life in your products even if you stop paying for a sub. Just download your library before the month ends. Source: almost 2 years ago
  • How to write a song without any knowledge of music theory?
You can use stuff like splice.com to find sounds you think are cool, put them into a DAW like Fruit Loops Garage Band and keep experimenting until you're happy. If you play any instruments, just play some random things until you find something that sounds cool without worrying if it's "right" or "wrong" theoretically. I've had multiple clients that came up with really cool sounds that made absolutely no sense... Source: almost 2 years ago
  • How did 2000s era Drum and Bass producers compose their drums?
There are 100s of free tutorials online on how to make DnB breaks, here is one geared towards beginners https://splice.com/. Source: almost 2 years ago
  • EDM/dance techno drum plugin
Https://splice.com/ is the even more extreme version of this; you can just select what you want per sample. Source: almost 2 years ago
  • LWhallengren
Here you go, more than you could imagine: https://splice.com/. Source: almost 2 years ago
  • Spend six months animating this 3D short film and got a lot of comments how scary it looks. What do you think?
If you want plug-ins that are a little more professional than the stock plug-ins, Splice is a good option for low price plug-in rentals, but it is $8/mo and is primarily music focused. Freesound helped me out a lot during college with building a sound effect library, but the quality can be hit or miss. If I had to pick one plug-in to recommend, it'd be iZotope RX 10. It is $129 or $16/mo on Splice, but there are... Source: almost 2 years ago
  • Buying loops/samples?
Any suggestions as to the best place to buy something like this? I've looked around a bit online and see places like Splice.com which offer a subscription service. But, I'd rather start him off with something simpler, for now. Source: almost 2 years ago
  • How do I continue working on a song on a different computer?
I always say your best longterm solution is to sign up for a free Splice account. It's essentially Dropbox (cloud storage) designed specifically for music production software, Ableton included. Source: almost 2 years ago
  • African Based sounds?
But else, if you sign up for https://splice.com/ and then search by "african" and narrow by "Vocals" you'll find some in there that may match. Source: almost 2 years ago
  • Ableton Sample Packs (Free and Paid)
I've recently started making beats (using Ableton, SP404, MPC) and have been on the hunt for dope samples. So far I've gotten stuff from Drum Broker (https://hiphopdrumsamples.com/), Splice (https://splice.com/), and a few other paid sites as well as some FREE resources. But these sites don't have Ableton packs. Source: almost 2 years ago
