If you need an open source example to use as a template you might want to take a look at soft serve: https://github.com/charmbracelet/soft-serve. - Source: Hacker News / about 2 months ago

If you're into self hosting, soft-serve is a really cool terminal based git server from Charmbracelet https://github.com/charmbracelet/soft-serve. - Source: Hacker News / about 1 year ago
Hi, I'm the author of the blog post. Thank you for your comment. A project you may find interesting is soft-serve from charm.sh https://github.com/charmbracelet/soft-serve it's a "TUI" (terminal user interface). - Source: Hacker News / over 1 year ago
Softserve is a cool one if you are into cli's. Source: over 1 year ago
I guess there's the "I just think it's neat" factor, but outside of interactive, terminal-based tooling (e.g. Charm's Git server, Soft Serve), I can think of very few times where I'd rather use SSH than HTTP(S) -- u/mosaic_hops points out a number of good reasons for HTTP(S) in their response. You could always self-host your own server https://github.com/charmbracelet/soft-serve. Source: over 1 year ago
Maybe Soft-Serve could be the right one. It has an ssh based tui for management and configuration uses a special git repo inside the app. Source: over 1 year ago
Or would you for security reasons choose to self host a Git server? Which one (I was looking into Soft-Serve https://github.com/charmbracelet/soft-serve). Source: almost 2 years ago
I use something called Soft Serve with Soft Serve Monitor to have a web UI. Source: almost 2 years ago
Anyway, do you really need a web interface? Because you can set up repositories on any server without the need for a web gui. If you do need a really cool git interface, and don't specifically need HTML+js, investigate soft-serve. Source: almost 2 years ago
Oh, and rather interesting thing — soft-serve. It's a TUI for Git that you access over SSH. Source: about 2 years ago
Love the fact that there are currently more people on the server than likes on this post :D You might wanna take a look at https://github.com/charmbracelet/bubbletea ad specifically https://github.com/charmbracelet/soft-serve for v2. IRC style commands that are only sent to the sender would also be nice as current version is a bit spammy with help and user commands. - Source: Hacker News / about 2 years ago
Oh, talking about wish, yes, you can use it to write git servers, check out soft-serve sad well :). Source: over 2 years ago
Hi! We (Charm) have another SSH app that could be a good example: Soft Serve. It gives you a self-hosted Git server with a SSH based TUI. Both these apps use our SSH framework Wish that provides an easy way to build SSH TUIs and Git/SSH based APIs. Source: over 2 years ago
