I've used Smooze [1] in the past. It has a ton of features, but I really just need it for turning off mouse acceleration and making the scroll wheel usable. Glad to see an open source option. [1] https://smooze.co/. - Source: Hacker News / 10 months ago
Smooze is the best app I have found to make using mac with a non-mac mouse even remotely usable. Really wish Apple would care a little more about mouse support. Source: 12 months ago
Mac unfortunately isn’t the best at supporting third party mice and their additional buttons, for your specific case, the only app that I know of that offers a similar option would be smooze. Source: about 1 year ago
What mouse are you using? - SteerMouse is a nice app that can remap buttons. - Smooze I think also had some options for buttons. Source: about 1 year ago
Hey guys, I've recently added some trackball improvements to the grab scroll feature in Smooze Pro and I'd love to get some avid trackball users input on this. Source: over 1 year ago
Certainly this app seems to turbocharge a mouse : Smooze. Source: almost 2 years ago
Mos is buggy as hell and wasn't updated for a year. Kept hanging for me in random apps like Messages etc. Try Smooze , It's not free but there's nothing out there that matches in terms of performance. Source: over 2 years ago

Long time user of smooze, and really like what I can do with the app.- https://smooze.co/. Source: over 2 years ago
Background: I've want to start using a physical mouse with my two Macs, but I can't get them to work well (separate scroll directions for mouse and trackpad as well as disabling scroll wheel acceleration). There is 3rd party software (ex: Scroll Reverser and smooze.co) that can correct this, but they're paid and I don't trust them. I did, however find this post on Reddit for a free app that can correct this:... Source: over 2 years ago
I've looked into 3rd party software such as Scroll Reverser and smooze.co, but I don't want to pay for features that should be standard. I also don't feel comfortable downloading this 3rd party software. I was hoping there would be options for this in the Logitech software, but unfortunately there is not. Are there any non-magic mouses that work well with Mac? Source: over 2 years ago
Try out these softwares SmoothScroll, Mos, Mac Mouse Fix, Smooze, personally preferred the first one. Source: over 2 years ago
Check out Smooze. Been using it for years. Source: over 2 years ago
For smoother scrolling with a non-Apple mouse/trackpad you might want to look at Smooze [0], it's what I use for my logitech mouse. That said, it's paid and it looks like Moz [1] claims to fix smooth scrolling so maybe check that out too. The website doesn’t mention it, but the author of https://smooze.co mentioned on stack (https://apple.stackexchange.com/questions/253111/how-to-disable-scroll-acceleration-in-macos-sierra) that you can disable animations/acceleration with it. Source: almost 3 years ago
I wasn't as happy with Steermouse and have been using Smooze for years. It takes time to get the settings to feel right, but once they're set, you can forget them. It's $5 w/ a free trial. Source: about 3 years ago
I have an MX Master 2S. I'm not entirely sure whether I saw the same latency issues as you, but scrolling didn't feel very nice indeed on the Mac. I replaced Logitech Options with Smooze and that took care of it. It's not as good for mapping the extra buttons though. Source: about 3 years ago
Whilst cursorsense is good (I particularly liked the chord feature), I prefer smooze for two specific reasons: 1. Smooth mouse wheel scrolling (which can be fine tuned) and 2. Middle click dragging (both vertically and horizontally). It also does basically everything else cursorsense does (minus chords). Source: about 3 years ago
2) Desktop/Standalone apps for any website using WebCatalog. I can't believe more people aren't raving about this app. You can get a fully functional optimized web app for Reddit, Facebook, YouTube, Netflix, etc...just like you have on your mobile device. 3) Custom gestures on any mouse (actually possible!!) using the app called Smooze. This gives you all the convenience of keyboard shortcuts without needing to... Source: about 3 years ago
