Interesting! I hadn't heard of it, but this looks like a neat project: https://get.pixelexperience.org/. - Source: Hacker News / 6 months ago
I've had my note20 ultra since 2021 and it was great, the phone still works nicely and fast, but now that Samsung stopped giving the big updates, should I install a custom rom? I've been thinking of getting this one Pixel Experience, should I do it? Is it safe? Will it brick my phone? Source: 6 months ago
If you're familiar with the Pixel launcher and overall experience, I'd recommend you have a look at the custom ROM Pixel Experience. It's almost a 1:1 copy of what you get on latest Pixels. Source: 11 months ago
And to answer op question Custom rom I think are great- Pixel experience Evolution x Ancient os I have mentioned the famous one only because they get you the most support in community if something gone wrong Though some are also good like nusantara, cherish os, etc. Also oxygen os is also available if you like that. Https://get.pixelexperience.org/ There are also other options available, like GrapheneOS and LineageOS. There's a few reviews and such on YouTube. I'm looking into at the minute. Never installed a custom ROM before but it doesn't look to daunting, after a bit of research. Source: 12 months ago
The build quality is amazing being made with an aluminum backing, is the last generation of phones with your rear mounted fingerprint scanner, and has custom rom support. Say you want android 14/15 but Google arbitrary decides your phone doesn't get it. https://get.pixelexperience.org/ You can install this and get your features/updates back since the hardware is still fine. Honestly, your LG V40 is still hardware... Source: about 1 year ago
I feel like what you want to hear is get a Pixel 7/7pro which are amazing phones. Xiaomi can be used in a way you'd like, but you need to tinker with it first. https://get.pixelexperience.org/ Any Xiaomi phone compatible with Pixel Experience will run like a Pixel missing its bonus features (such telling you what song is playing in the background), but will be low bloatware, and have the specs/cost of a Xiaomi... It was recently planned obsolescenced by Google, but I upgraded it anyway to Android 13 with Pixel Experience because fuck Google. Plus, doing this gives you unlimited Google Photos storage in original quality! Source: about 1 year ago
There are plenty of ROMs to install on Xiao Mi phones, if you're feeling adventurous. I used https://xiaomi.eu/community/ but run stock Android from https://get.pixelexperience.org/ these days. Source: about 1 year ago
Hey, I want to install Pixel Experience custom ROM on my Android Phone but unfortunately my phone vendor is not present on device's tab. In this case what should I do? How can I install custom ROM on my Android phone? My Phone is Techno Spark 6 GO. Source: over 1 year ago
Custom ROMs like Pixel Experience, Evolution X support to be spoofed as older Pixel devices. So it provides unlimited photos and video back up in Google Photos. Source: over 1 year ago
Why am I being downvoted? The deleted comment recommended Pixel Experience, which bundles GAPPS: https://download.pixelexperience.org "PixelExperience is an AOSP based ROM, with Google apps included and all Pixel goodies "https://download.pixelexperience.org". Source: over 1 year ago
You can have pixel experience on any of the devices listed here https://download.pixelexperience.org/. Source: over 1 year ago
I would take pixelUI , from download.pixelexperience.org .I use right now and no problem , I love it. Source: over 1 year ago
Yup, MIUI's like that. Fortunately for us, it's easier to install custom OS on xiaomi devices. That's what I did to restore my old and slow Redmi 6A back to life. I installed LineageOS because it's one of the lightest ROM around. I suggest you do the same. Maybe try pixel experience? Source: over 1 year ago
You can read more about it here, if you're lucky the ROM might come with unlimited storage on Google Photos too, it'd literally be like having a Pixel but in a Samsung phone. Source: over 1 year ago
I totally gave up on OnePlus long time ago. Solution: https://download.pixelexperience.org/. Source: over 1 year ago
The pixel ui (stock android in pixel phones) offers some great features like call screening and hold for me as mentioned above and I haven't seen such feature in any custom rom yet. Tap-tap is another feature the pixel ui offers and many roms do provide it, but I don't know whether LOS for your device has this feature (also, there is an app named tap tap which does the same). Other than that, unless you are using... Source: almost 2 years ago
I can suggest the the pixel experience custom rom which works really well on pixels. I tested many custom rom and this one is definitely the best if you still want the pixel features. Source: almost 2 years ago
