You can go around some of the extra processing by using other camera apps, for example "Open Camera". It can even shoot RAW photos, so that the least amount of processing is applied to the image. Open Camera can take Repeat pictures automatically (some options are 2, 5, 10, 50, 100, 200, 500, Unlimited). It also allows you to set a Repeat timer between pictures (some options are 1s, 5s, 10s, 30s, 1m, 5m, 10m, 30m, 1h, 2h). Source: almost 2 years ago
