I had a problem with a half-removed anti-virus install and old 'protected' files I could not delete from the Mac's Bin. App Cleaner was the only application I could find (8th I tried) which properly removed the remnants of the AV application and allowed my Mac to boot without the long freezes which I suffered while booting. The protected files in the Bin it could not handle, but their support team offered a remote session to see what could be done. They connected and worked some magical commands via the terminal app and the files were deleted without issue. So all of my problems were solved. This was all done whilst I was still using the trial version of the application. So to conclude - a superb application, fantastic service which went way and beyond any expectations. They've gained a lifetime user. I wish more developers were this awesome.
This app deletes all leftovers of any apps. Simple and easy to use.
It helped me clean up about 20GB in a few minutes.
No subscriptions, no ads, no redundant UI. One time payment, one-click uninstall.
Try using a tool such as this to remove all the leftovers from the app and give the installation another crack. Source: over 1 year ago
Thank you!! I was really hoping to avoid the hard way since I’m not techy and actually ended up using a free trial of the Nektony App Cleaner & Uninstaller (added link for others with this issue). Source: over 1 year ago
I suggest using an alternative complete app uninstall over the MacPaw monstrosity, which is notoriously harmful to system file integrity. I use Nektony App Cleaner & Uninstaller, which serves the sole purpose of complete uninstalls, unlike CleanMyMacX. Most importantly, highlight all files related to an app and then leave the removal action up to the user manually so that you can see exactly what will be removed,... Source: over 1 year ago
Nektony App Cleaner & Uninstaller is showing login items and leftover files, but I’m not sure the latter is very reliable. It often lists files from apps that are still installed too, so handle with care. Source: almost 2 years ago
I use CMMX for the various tools it has and since it's included in Setapp, but for removing apps and cleaning up leftovers I tend to prefer https://nektony.com/mac-app-cleaner - they're another Mac app company based in Ukraine. Source: about 2 years ago

Appcleaner OR my favorite App Cleaner & Uninstaller (much more advanced, not cheap). For disk space cleanup and those sort of things would recommend DaisyDisk. Source: about 3 years ago
I use App Cleaner & Uninstaller. But I use uninstaller software only. I would never let any software „clean“ my system. Source: about 3 years ago
Https://nektony.com/mac-app-cleaner is very thorough for removing any files associated with app installs you no longer need. I've used this for a number of years. CMM is a subscription service but, of course, use it if you need all the other features. Source: about 3 years ago
Try to clear the cache of the cracked apps you use, however, you'd better uninstall them from your computer. You can clear cache or completely remove apps with a free app from Nektony called App Cleaner & Uninstaller. Source: about 3 years ago
And sometimes it gets that „not-so-shit“ off yourl machine. Get rid of CleanMyMac. Rather check with DaisyDisk to find things. I only have an uninstaller. The best imo is this one because you have full control. But uninstalling only. Not that automated cleaning stuff. Source: over 3 years ago
I use https://nektony.com/mac-app-cleaner and I‘m really happy with it. There are a ton of free apps availabe but they don‘t find all the files. Source: over 3 years ago
Most likely, that some Adobe Genuine's support files are left on your Mac. Use App Cleaner & Uninstaller. It uninstalls applications from Mac completely with all of their support files. Source: over 3 years ago
It's not the AppCleaner people are talking about in this sub. It's "Apple Cleaner & Uninstaller" (yes that's the app name). Here is the link to product page: https://nektony.com/mac-app-cleaner. Source: over 3 years ago
