I use this AI productivity app called "Motion" (usemotion.com). It requires google maps or outlook. I really can't stand that but it's been so helpful for me, I still use google calendar as my main calendar. Source: over 3 years ago
Iโm curious to hear more about your experience. I donโt work closely with other people, but I use Motion, which has features specifically for teams to automatically rearrange their 1:1s and tasks based on each otherโs availability. Source: over 3 years ago

Motion (usemotion.com) keeps advertising to me and as far as I can tell, it offers one really nice feature which is the ability to have events with concrete durations but times that aren't set in stone so the calendar can automatically move them for you. This seems really interesting to me and I'd be interested in trying it, but much like with Superhuman for email, I just can't justify the price. $34/mo or $240/yr... Source: over 3 years ago
Motion (a YC project). Add all my tasks & projects and priorities deadlines etc and let the AI figure out the plan. Updates in real-time if things change or are not done on time. Syncs to my Google calendar. Pricey though. Source: almost 4 years ago
I'm really keen to try out usemotion.com - been test driving reclaim.ai but feel like I'm missing some of the features motion has (projects, softdeadlines, etc). Anyone have any spare referrals they'd be willing to share? The 5 day trial is really too short considering how long it takes to set a system like this up with all your to-dos. Thanks! Congratulations on the new clients!! Thatโs a huge step, and youโre smart to use it as a learning tool. I always recommend https://usemotion.com It might be an option for you, and in my opinion is better than other scheduling apps. Especially if you have to integrate scheduling into your workflow and client service. Source: about 4 years ago
For the calendar/priority/scheduling/task side of things, you really should be using something more like Motion as opposed to a CRM, that will allow for easily rescheduling your tasks and calendar every day based on priority. Wonder if something like that could work for some of your use-cases. Monday doesn't go into this level of calendar integration and prioritization. Source: about 4 years ago
I don't know why Motion (usemotion.com) makes it so difficult to remove the calendar entries and delete your account. I was testing the platform and put 3 tasks/calendar entries, and "detaching" a dozen times doesn't do anything (after taking time to get to the page where you can "detach"). I've been looking for a way to completely delete the account but no luck so far. Source: about 4 years ago
One of my biggest problems is an inability to start a new task. Iโve come to rely on Motion to schedule my tasks for me. It places the job on a calendar which helps me procrastinate less. It has the added side effect of forcing me to do better at gauging my time โ if I schedule a half hour to do a task but it takes 60 minutes, Iโll be better next time I do something similar. Itโs not cheap, but Iโve more than made... Source: about 4 years ago
I am using motion (usemotion.com) to manage my day. Unfortunately, I can't integrate it with my iCloud calendar (I use it to share a calendar with my wife). Source: over 4 years ago
I've been trying out Reclaim.ai and Usemotion.com, which seem like really new apps. Motion seems to have been mentioned here, but I haven't seen many people talking about Reclaim, and usemotion.com is pretty expensive after the short 5-day trial. So far, I'm really enjoying Reclaim.ai and might stick with it, especially given the really feature-rich free forever plan, but wondering if people here have used these... Source: over 4 years ago

Motion Firefox, an AI-driven productivity and scheduling tool that integrates with Firefox as an extension, has gained notable attention within the productivity and time management space. The product is frequently discussed for its unique take on automatic task scheduling and real-time calendar management, especially among users seeking enhanced efficiency in their personal and professional lives.
A significant portion of user feedback highlights Motion's capability to dynamically rearrange tasks and appointments. This feature is particularly well-received by users who appreciate the AIโs ability to adapt to changing schedules and priorities, ultimately enhancing productivity. The integration with widely-used platforms such as Google Calendar and Outlook is noted as a convenience. However, a frustration for some users is the lack of compatibility with iCloud calendars, which limits its utility for those heavily invested in the Apple ecosystem.
Another frequently praised feature is Motion's capacity to assist individuals in prioritizing tasks based on deadlines and project importance. It allows users to set "soft deadlines" and engage in time blocking, which helps mitigate procrastination and facilitates a more organized workflow. As users become better at gauging task durations, they report improved accuracy in planning and billing, which is advantageous for professionals who invoice clients based on time.
Despite its advantages, the cost of Motion is a recurring concern. Many users express hesitation in adopting the tool due to its premium pricingโ$34 per month or $240 annuallyโwhich they find difficult to justify. The comparison to other high-cost productivity tools like Superhuman for email highlights a general sentiment that cost might outweigh perceived value, especially when more economical alternatives with similar functionalities, such as Reclaim.ai, offer enticing free plans.
Some users have reported on the platform's user experience challenges, especially when attempting to remove calendar entries or accounts. This difficulty can detract from the otherwise streamlined experience that Motion aims to offer. Furthermore, while the five-day trial provides a taste of the platformโs capabilities, there is feedback suggesting that this period is insufficient for users to truly set up and assess Motionโs full potential.
In terms of competition, applications like TideTask, Task Muncher, and POC System are worth noting, though Motionโs focus on AI-based automation differentiates it in the crowded productivity arena. Users often compare Motion with Reclaim.ai for its feature-rich free offer, making Reclaim.ai a formidable competitor for cost-conscious users seeking similar functionality.
Overall, Motion Firefox is gaining a foothold among productivity enthusiasts who value its sophisticated scheduling capabilities and the injection of AI into daily task management. However, for it to maintain and grow its user base, addressing issues related to pricing, platform integrations, and user experience will be crucial. Despite some drawbacks, the positive reception reflects a strong demand for tools that intelligently assist in organizing and optimizing time effectively, catering to both individuals and teams in diverse professional settings.
