I know for me there is one though it is not specifically "core" but kind of is in a way when you are using a desktop...namely email of all things. Gnome comes with the abomination that is Geary and that thing is way too under powered. For me, I would love it if something like Mailspring (https://getmailspring.com/) was packaged up and made it in as the default email client in the new and improved DE. Modern take...
