This page is designed to help you find out whether Lyven is good and if it is the right choice for you.
Lyven is a household app for couples that gives every job a single owner, weighted by real effort, so the noticing moves with the work and the split stays fair over time. Instead of a shared checklist or a points scoreboard, each task has one owner and a weekly check-in tracks how the load is actually splitting. Built for two-person households — partners, not roommates or families — with a Split Check calculator to test fairness before signing up. No subscription; currently in open beta.

Every job in Lyven has exactly one owner, weighted by how much real effort it takes — not split evenly, not tracked on a points board. Instead of a scoreboard, partners do a weekly check-in to see how the load is actually landing. Most household apps either just list tasks (a shared to-do list) or turn chores into a competition (points, streaks, leaderboards); Lyven does neither.
Apps like Cozi and OurHome organize a family's shared calendar and lists but don't track who's actually doing the work. Apps built around scoreboards (a growing category) gamify chores instead of asking whether the split is fair. Lyven's Noticing Score weights each job by real effort and keeps that visible over time, so couples can see imbalance building before it becomes a fight — with a Split Check calculator to test it before committing.
Built by Wylliott Labs, a two-person company in Melbourne with no outside investors — a couple who built the app they wanted for their own household, where noticing who's doing the mental load and physical work was the actual problem, not just remembering tasks.
