  This is the correct answer. There are many sites who sell posters and canvas for not much money (I use art.com and icanvas mostly if you need a tip).   It also can take months to get a good space set up, it takes time!! Start with one piece. What do you need? A new couch? Maybe visit Ikea, wander around a bit, see if you like anything.   5) Art and objects. Pick a color. Find some bright artwork (art.com has pretty nice cheap prints that framed up look like a million bucks) and objects that work together with the rug. Bring your frames together with your metals, and try to mat your art with white or very pale off white to bring some light to those oppressive walls. • Question About Print Purchase (How to find "real" print)

  On art.com there are several prints that all appear to be edited with varying levels of contrast. I went to the louvre's website to try to get an idea of what the real painting looks like, but even within their own gallery it appears like there's aversion that is very dark and matte and a picture that is very rich and warm.
