Social recommendations and mentions

We have tracked the following product recommendations or mentions on various public social media platforms and blogs. They can help you see what people think about KaTrain and what they use it for.
  • How do I record a played game on Fox?
I like Sabaki, but there's also GoWrite, CGoban (the KGS client), and others (search for "SGF editor"). You can also review .sgf with OGS online, or with AI Sensei. KaTrain is a very good AI client that can review .sgf as well. Source: about 3 years ago
  • Contributing to open-source go projects?
Does anyone have any recommendations for active go-related projects on github I could contribute to? I have considered online go server and katago and katrain, but these don't look very active. I could be wrong, but it seems like the less active a project is, the less likely it is my contributions will be considered. Source: almost 4 years ago
  • Haven't played since AI revolution - some questions
1: Katrain is probably the best client to interact with KataGo through. Alternatively you can use KataGo directly by integrating it with your favorite sgf editor. Source: about 4 years ago
  • Searching for MoyoGoStudio and other similar AI Programs?
Nowadays pretty much everyone uses Katago. There are a few GUI programs to interact with it, I think most people use Katrain. You can't purchase it though, because it is free. Source: about 4 years ago
  • KataGo/Leela-zero on MacOs -HELP NEEDED-
How about Katrain? It works great on my M1 MacBook Pro. Can you type "katago" in Apple's terminal application and get a response? Source: about 4 years ago
  • The manual for Katrain is lacking to be polite.
Readme.md in the GitHub repo seems like a pretty detailed user manual: https://github.com/sanderland/katrain. Source: over 4 years ago
  • Conquest of Go
Although I do not recommend installing KataGo on Sabki. It is better to download Katrain, which is a free training program that comes with Katago installed and configured. You can also train with AI Sensei without having to download anything. It is very good and its free plan allows you to load games, review them with an underpowered AI and quiz your mistakes. Source: over 4 years ago
  • Does anybody have any tips for learning go?
You might also want to use engines. I strongly recommend getting katago with some sort of GUI, like sabaki or katrain. Source: about 5 years ago
  • Why is it so hard to get a computer analysis!
The katrain is alternative to Lizzie which is easier to setup and run. It's true that you still have to download your games. Source: about 5 years ago
  • Ressources for Go-Aiยดs
From a quick look at the list, it seems most of these are open-source go programs; you could check out things like KaTrain/lizzie/etc. Source: over 5 years ago
  • I'm a total beginner. Please help me to understand how to see who owns a certain territory.
Katrain https://github.com/sanderland/katrain has "Expected territory" visualization. It may help you sometimes. Source: over 5 years ago
