Social recommendations and mentions

We have tracked the following product recommendations or mentions on various public social media platforms and blogs. They can help you see what people think about Journey and what they use it for.
  • Journal App 📝
Should be this one: https://journey.cloud/. Source: 5 months ago
  • What does Fuslie use to journal?
I think she mentioned Journey before but not 100% sure. Source: 11 months ago
  • Best daily journaling app that syncs with iCloud, has night mode, and has multiple export options?
One more to look at: I made a note of this one a few years ago. It looks completely free, cross-platform, free to sync. https://journey.cloud. Source: 12 months ago
  • What's a software you searched to selfhost but is still missing to you ?
Right now I'm on Journey, which I really love, but it's not self-hosted. Which is a huge shame because I like everything else about it. Source: about 1 year ago
  • What's a software you searched to selfhost but is still missing to you ?
Journey is a journal. The point of the program is journaling. But it's not self-hosted. :c. Source: about 1 year ago
  • I want to write a journal to my future self. Where can I hide it and not lose/forget about it? I have a terrible memory and I tend to lose my things a lot.
I used this for a while. I think some of the more advanced features require a subscription, but you can definitely try it and use the basics for free. Source: about 1 year ago
  • Heidi is really going for it today with the "I don't need no man" idea. Read all 4 slides.
Instead of going on whatever social media site to trauma dump and humiliate myself, I open a journaling app. A physical notebook works too, but I use an app that syncs across devices. Posting to that app from my mobile device or computer from wherever scratched that same "itch." I could attach pictures to my entries as well in order to spare my Insta followers. This is what I use. • Pls suggest any apps for an online journal that is free and without subscriptions 😊
While they do have a paid version, the free version of Journey (link) is a great journal/diary app on its own. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Writing is physically painful
I use Journey because it's both an app and browser based, and it can be password/pin protected. If you look on the website, it seems like there's a lot going on, but it's a deceptively simple app. I've been using it for years and years. Source: almost 2 years ago
  • Mac user thinking about switching to Linux + Windows 10 in a dual boot setup
I've never heard of Day One, but here are many journaling apps, for example Journey. I can't recommend one as I've never used them. Source: almost 2 years ago
  • Bear vs Day One
Use Journey. Cross platform including Web and Windows. No subscription (the option for one off payment) and has all the features of Day One which I used to use. Source: about 2 years ago
  • Moved from Windows 10. What do you guys use for journal? Daily Diary?
I found Journey app. But it has a subscription based. Not like fully owned software. Source: over 2 years ago
  • Moved 1000km away, changed career, escaped toxic family/work and a pointless life. This is the single best year I've been alive.
Thanks! I was lucky enough to start using journey.cloud four years ago, so I have a really good record of the entire situation leading up to my decision, with the added bonus of the memories feature (throwback entries from this time x years ago). It's been my therapist at times, and more than once I've only come to a decision or realisation once I wrote out my feelings. Best money I've spent online by a longshot,... Source: over 2 years ago
  • Day One, the Journaling App, Joins Automattic
I switched to Journey for quite some time now. Mostly because it is way cheaper, and also has a windows application. In addition it allows to export all entries (docx & pdf) and it can import from Day One. The user experience is mediocre though, and there is no e2e encryption! https://journey.cloud. - Source: Hacker News / almost 3 years ago
  • Looking for self-hosted Journaling software
Curious if anyone here has experience with journaling software that can be self hosted. I'm now using Journey (https://journey.cloud/). Source: about 3 years ago

Day One Alternatives: 7 Best Journal Apps You Can Use
Journey is your best bet when searching for a journal app which is as good as Day One. Not only it has an app for Mac, it also supports Windows and Android. You can truly go cross-platform with this app. The app is also fairly affordable when compared to the Day One app. Okay, let’s get into the feature set of the Journey app which is as good as Day One’s if not more. You can create multiple journals inside the...
