  • What's the dumbest thing you saw a product manager say or do?
All the concerns are already being done or can be done. A screen recorder would not add any new ability. I did not mention but users have admin rights on their laptop and can install pretty much any software they want. If this was an actually harmful concern, the current way of doing things would stop. These hypothetical, paranoid concerns only come in some people's head when someone proposes the idea. When the... Source: 5 months ago

Fast-forward to March 2022, when I left my job at jam.dev as an Engineering Lead. I decided I need a break to figure out what's the next thing I want to pursue in life. - Source: dev.to / over 1 year ago

Jam | Senior fullstack engineer | Remote Hey HN! I’m Dani, the CEO of Jam (https://jam.dev), a new dev tools startup building a new way to capture and debug frontend bugs - here's a 90 sec video: https://youtu.be/iXjmUwZLzVs. We have raised $10M+ from the CTO of GitHub, CTO of PagerDuty, CEO of Cloudflare, etc., and are growing quickly. We're a team of strong generalist engineers (mostly early ex-Cloudflare) and... - Source: Hacker News / over 1 year ago

  • Friday Show and Tell
When the world went remote, another PM and I were searching for a better way to communicate bugs to engineers. We didn't find a tool we liked, so we built our own: Jam. Source: over 1 year ago
  • What is your productivity tech stack?
Jam - a workflow productivity tool my team and I are building for people who report lots of bugs (I'm obviously biased, but I use it heavily every day and it saves me from doing a lot of manual work). Source: over 1 year ago

  • Ask HN: Is there a tool / product that enables commenting on HTML elements?
When my cofounder Irtefa and I were PMs at Cloudflare we actually searched for a tool like this and when we couldn’t find one we liked, we went out to build it ourselves. Our first attempt was a product that let product teams leave feedback as annotations tied to DOM elements, but what we learned is that product teams have a hard time trusting those comments as the underlying DOM does change (screen & viewport... - Source: Hacker News / over 1 year ago
  • Ask HN: Is there a tool / product that enables commenting on HTML elements?
I think https://jam.dev/ should do it! (not affiliated - just a fan). - Source: Hacker News / over 1 year ago
  • A new way to report bugs with Jira – with all the info devs need automatically included
Our product (jam.dev) is a standalone tool, but it works best when integrated with your issue tracker, so you don't have to context switch. We first built an integration with Linear (just because we ourselves use it and we were solving a problem we had). Recently we rolled out Jira integration, and more integrations are coming (Slack, Asana, etc.). Source: about 2 years ago
