  • Ask HN: Google migrated Google Workspace billing to Squrespace, now what?
I wanted to like Porkbun but failed to buy a .io domain through them because of technical problems on their end. Their website is also a bit programmer-y and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone non-technical. (Eg UX of login flow includes "Leave password blank if using a passkey or passwordless login.") I ended up using http://hover.com. - Source: Hacker News / about 2 years ago
  • What registrar is better than LetsHost?
For my .ie domains I use blacknight, hate it but cant be bothered to change, for everything else I use hover.com. They havnt caused me any problems but I don't actually use them for dns thats just where buy the domain. Source: about 3 years ago
  • How to setup two domains for use with Polylang?
Hey, I am currently creating a multilingual website with Polylang and I want to use two domains. How do I need to setup the domains for it to work? I bought the domains on hover.com and I use Siteground as my hoster, so I changed the nameservers from hover to Siteground for both domains. What else do I need to setup and where exactly? Is this forum the right one to ask for this? If not which one is? Source: over 3 years ago
  • Can't get emails working
At first I was trying to get the hover.com emails to work but their support even recommended going with someone else so I went with MailGun but now I feel like I've either done something wrong from the beginning and need to redo it all or I simply just don't understand what it is I need to do. • Author Website
Beware of "free" domain names or hosting with domain name. It's important that you and you only, control your domain name. If you get a "free" name with a hosting service, you may be tied to that service, no matter how lousy or expensive they become, because they control your domain name. I'm a semi-retired web developer. I recommend hover.com for domain names and Siteground.com for WordPress hosting. And... Source: almost 4 years ago

I purchase my domains on hover.com. Source: almost 4 years ago
  • Just got hosting at Siteground, they have asked me to point my dns
Go wherever you registered/bought your domain name (I use hover.com) and they will have a place to change DNS (domain name servers) where you will type in the two server names that Siteground gave you. Source: about 4 years ago
  • graphic design and website developer recommendations
I think they will also sell you a domain, but if not, try hover.com for domain purchase and management, plus if you want domain email accounts. Source: about 4 years ago
  • Still trying to figure out what to do
I user hover.com as a registrar and DNS host, and they offer email hosting for $20 a year per user. It would be trivial to change over the MX records to their product, and keep using the domain name...and then worry about migration of the old emails from Google. But I'm not going to pay over $400 a year for email. Source: over 4 years ago
  • Can you set up email forwarding for a closed account?
Depending on the domain registrar she might be able to setup an email forwarder on the registrar. I have used hover.com and they let you set up a forwarding email for $5.00/year. Source: over 4 years ago
  • Dynamic DNS with Hover domains
I've registered a domain name with hover.com with the intent of having my opnsense router update it with my dynamic IP...the problem is that there is no option for hover.com in the DDNS section of opnsense. What is the best way to handle this so that my domain can be updated when my IP changes? Source: over 4 years ago
  • Campaigning Help
Make a campaign facebook and instagram page at minimum. Work with your campaign manager to find a friend who is great at social media and have them start blasting out to your friends and followers and asking them to share, share, share. Get a campaign website. Utilize hover.com to buy a domain name you like and wix.com to build a cheap website if money is an issue. Any online presence is better than none. Have... • Domain name
I used to use namecheap. I lost two domains because they failed to renew them and didn't send me an e-mail saying they were going to expire. Then I switched to hover.com, and had problems there, so I went back to godaddy.com and everything is perfect. Source: almost 5 years ago

  • Has dark.fail been compromised?
According to Cloudflare, the problem is at hover.com which is a (tucows.com) service. Both onion.live and dark.fail use this registrar as a domain provider. I have a ticket opened with Hover currently as my domain panel does not reflect any nameservers changes or allow any changes to be made. Source: about 5 years ago

  • Disable 'recovery-delete' for account
If you want to do it on a budget ( I have several domains with grandfathered free google apps accounts), there are domain registrars like hover.com that will forward email to the domain (ex. [user@domain.com](mailto:user@domain.com)) to another email address for free. You can use that method too, just forward it to a free gmail or other account, make sure to use an account that is not your main email for extra... Source: over 5 years ago
