When I create a GeoGebra file using the One Variable Analysis, Regression Analysis, Multiple Variable Analysis tools, it work fine until I export it to the online collection of resources on geogebra.org. Source: about 2 years ago
Sure, there is the fullscreen button in the lower right corner in every geogebra.org applet... But sometimes I want the students to "Start" an applet by clicking a single button (which also does UpdatingConstruction and other things....) and in that way I can ensure that they really use the fullscreen. Check out geogebra.org and desmos.com and find those online communities, and *thank you.* I'm going to be so bold as to assume you want to make the topics make more sense to people than they usually do, and perhaps get more of them passing the courses? Source: over 2 years ago

The thing that has been debunked is the idea that you are defined as a visual learner and that teachers should design instruction based on that-- and people gloss over that yes, in fact, some people remember what they see a whole lot better than what they hear. For folks w/ issues processing language, visuals are *extremely* important. Einstein visualized most of his thoughts -- they weren't in words. He had... Source: about 3 years ago
The one variable analysis and two variable analysis tools have stopped working on the app. I'm using GeoGebra 6.0.694.0 on a Windows 10 (64-bit). Copy pasting the same data to the browser version at geogebra.org works just fine. Source: over 3 years ago
I'm using GGB 5 desktop to create applets, and then uploading them to share on geogebra.org. I have an applet with a piecewise function that is broken. On my computer, the vertical segment in the break is not graphed (which is correct), but when I upload the applet, the vertical segment appears. See screenshots below. Is there a setting somewhere I can change to correct this? Thanks, Marc. Source: over 3 years ago
Byju's (or any of GeoGebra's commercial partners) could already use the resources on geogebra.org (under the license of course, which allows for commercial use). The deal makes no difference either way to that. Source: almost 4 years ago
However, if I click this icon, it only takes me to geogebra.org - NOT the calculator link. I've tried this in Edge as well and it's the same result. Source: almost 4 years ago

One hobby of mine is speculative biology, and within this hobby it isn't unusual to construct fictional solar systems to speculate on alien life. I wanted to have a way of visualising, both for me and others, the orbits of planets and/or moons and for this I have found the site geogebra.org very useful. Huge fan of desmos. But https://geogebra.org/ is better for interactive geometry sketches when the functions themselves are not important. Source: about 4 years ago
I have created a simulation of optical refraction ("Brechung an Grenzflรคchen") and uploaded it to geogebra.org and then shared it. If I search for it directly in geogebra.org (for example with my name "ballier"), I also find the simulation. Source: about 4 years ago

GeoGebra, a versatile tool for mathematics education and exploration, garners significant attention in the public domain due to its dynamic capabilities and user-friendly interface. Originally conceived to integrate geometry, algebra, and calculus, GeoGebra fosters interactive learning and visualization. The platformโs strength lies in its adaptability, serving both novice learners and seasoned educators effectively. Letโs dive into the public opinion surrounding GeoGebra based on recent user interactions and mentions.
Feature Set and Usability
A prominent feature praised about GeoGebra is its comprehensive toolset. The software amalgamates an AI-powered graphing calculator, an equation solver, and a suite of interactive geometry tools. This combination supports a wide range of mathematical endeavors, from basic problem-solving to complex mathematical modeling. Educators and students alike appreciate this robust functionality, which is crucial for exploring mathematical concepts seamlessly.
However, GeoGebra is not without its challenges. Users have reported issues related to exporting files and using them in different formats, particularly when transitioning from desktop to web-based platforms. Instances where the application behaves differently after uploading files to the geogebra.org resource center are noted. Users have observed discrepancies, such as a vertical segment unintentionally appearing in a piecewise graph or interactive applets not functioning as expected upon export. These occurrences suggest occasional limitations in feature stability during cross-platform usage.
Community and Educational Impact
GeoGebra's community presence is significant, with users frequently discussing its application in educational settings. The platform is often recommended for college algebra courses aiming to innovate beyond traditional textbook methodology. Its utility in creating visual and interactive learning experiences is highlighted, making it a valuable asset for visual learners who benefit from dynamic and graphic representations.
Moreover, GeoGebra's repository of resources, accessible via geogebra.org, is a testament to its expansive community interaction. Users share simulations, tools, and educational content, enhancing the platform's utility and reach. Despite minor operational glitches, such as difficulties in account creation or delayed confirmation emails, the community continues to engage proactively, highlighting GeoGebraโs efficacy in educational innovation.
Comparative Landscape
In comparison to competing tools like Desmos and Wolfram Mathematica, GeoGebra is often lauded for its free accessibility and substantial resource database. While Desmos is preferred for straightforward plotting and ease of use, GeoGebraโs depth and breadth, especially in interactive geometry sketches, are regarded superior by some users. Nevertheless, some users find Desmos to be more user-friendly for simple mathematical visualizations.
Conclusion
Public opinion on GeoGebra reflects its esteemed position in mathematical education and exploration. While it does encounter sporadic technical challenges, the community values its comprehensive toolset and contribution to dynamic learning environments. GeoGebra stands as a formidable educational technology, consistently empowering users to visualize and interact with complex mathematical concepts.
