The thing that has been debunked is the idea that you are defined as a visual learner and that teachers should design instruction based on that-- and people gloss over that yes, in fact, some people remember what they see a whole lot better than what they hear. For folks w/ issues processing language, visuals are *extremely* important. Einstein visualized most of his thoughts -- they weren't in words. He had to have help translating the ideas so that he could communicate them. I'm willing to bet that going past the first hits from Dr. Google and digging into "visualizing mathematics" and... See what folks are doing in geogebra.org and desmos.com and you'll have a blast. And, happily, despite the MUST DEBUNK people, there are *lots* of ideas out there online for making things more visual. What *needs* to stay debunked is the "well, I can't learn that becaues I'm a _____ learner." Good luck!
