• Just bought a 7900xt, it's been... underwhelming. Am I doing something wrong?

  My suspicion is that something, most likely your CPU, is overheating. Download FurMark, this is a stress test that fully loads your GPU but barely touches the CPU. Run that and compare your score with expected results for the 7900XT (looks to be around 14-15,000 at 1440p). Source: almost 3 years ago

  If it's still happening, throw Memtest onto a spare USB, boot to that, and let it run through your RAM for errors. Then check your SSDs (your SSD manufacturer likely has a tool for this). Download and run a GPU benchmark/stress test, Unigine makes a few good ones, MSI Kombustor or Furmark, are good ones that I've used frequently for diagnostic work.   Try using furmark, if something weird happens during the test, or if you get a BSOD because of a gpu driver failure then it's probably your gpu and not your monitor. Source: over 3 years ago
