Freecycle.org I'm not on FB and I love it. Source: 5 months ago
Doesn't Goodwill accept vouchers from organizations that are good for free clothing? Also freecycle.org allows you to advertise free items to people in need. Source: 5 months ago
If you think a handy person could repair it, offer it on trashnothing.com or freecycle.org. Source: 10 months ago
Hey! You can find plenty of free furniture at FreeCycle I've donated plenty of furniture in the past. I'd say the hardest thing is to move it around, maybe you can arrange it, in some cases you're lucky that the furniture is small enough, or the owner drops it at yours, etc. Good luck! My city also has freecycle.org - which is pretty active. Source: 11 months ago
I’m not sure if you can recycle it; maybe? I meant https://freecycle.org/. Source: 11 months ago
Post on freecycle.org and find someone to come pick it up that would want it. Source: 11 months ago
Check out freecycle.org. People looking to get rid of stuff will offer it free to others; people needing stuff ask if anyone is willing to give what they need. In my area, I've seen people give away furniture, games, books, movies, appliances, tools, baby stuff, canned goods...you name it. You might find someone with a season pass to a sports team who's willing to give up their seat for a game. Source: 11 months ago
If you have little to no money, I would ask friends if they have any old clothes that are appropriate or if they know anyone who has clothes they want to get rid of. Also check your local facebook groups that sell things for cheap or free and freecycle.org . You could also explain your situation to a trusted adult who is willing to help you out. You could even say you'll pay them back once you start your job.... Source: 12 months ago
I dont see this as CB. I am on a site called freecycle.org where we give away or receive free stuff. It doesn't hurt to ask if someone is giving away a TV larger than 43". Does not make them a CB. Source: 12 months ago
Cast a wider net. Trawl online buy and sell or recycling forums, eg., freecycle.org, FB Marketplace, Kijiji, etc, for lot bargains. Ditto Army Surplus stores. Don't be timid to post "Wanted" ads there. Source: about 1 year ago
There is also a site called freecycle.org you can list it there and someone may be keen to take it off your hands. Source: about 1 year ago
Try freecycle.org or if there is an music department in a local school? Source: about 1 year ago
Have you tried freecycle.org? Over the years I've passed on electronica (and other items) through this platform. Sign up and put in a request. With venues such as freecycle.org and nextdoor.com you can cast your net closer to home, in your town or neighbourhood, unlike here which is a global forum. Source: about 1 year ago
You could also try freecycle.org. I would expect there are some active communities in Central CT. Source: about 1 year ago
FWIW - I sell on FB MP - ebay, Reddit and a few other places and there are often items I list that for me, dealing with shipping is just not worth it. Not is the cost I'd incur trying to sell it online for the reasons stated above. If I can't find a local buyer, I end up just listing it for free on freecycle.org or some local FB Free page. Going on freecycle.org for bigger cage and anything else or a new owner. My dog is getting very interested so I have to wait until sun goes on the other side to put it up on top of bookcase. Source: about 1 year ago
Put up an ad on craigslist or nextdoor.com free section, freecycle.org, etc, having people come and take whatever they want during a certain set of hours on certain days. That's how I got rid of tons of clothes that don't fit anymore, plus cleared out a friend's apartment after she died. I tried my best to inventory everything/take and post pix of stuff. Come and Grab. Everything Must Go! That type of thing. Waste... Source: about 1 year ago
Just do it reasonably (e.g. don't go to StarBucks with lots of plants and produce to give away) and maybe look into places like freecycle.org to purposely post some of these. Source: about 1 year ago
You will probably only get a few dollars. I do it mainly to avoid the feeling that I'm wasting a valuable resource. If it isn't worth your time, consider posting an offer on trashnothing.com or freecycle.org so that someone else can take it in. Source: about 1 year ago
Apparently sycamore is good, I think because it has high sugar content which is food for the fungi? Its a pest/weed so people often chopping them down. You could ask on Freecycle freecycle.org its a site for giving away and getting stuff for free. You sign up to your local area. Source: about 1 year ago
