You can see what kinds of properties you can see for media - I fed the URL of a video into embed.ly as that document suggested, but none of the fields returned gave me a video length... You may want to try with one of the images posted to your sub and see what properties you get. Maybe there's something else in the metadata you can search for that is common across the short videos. I sent in an urgent support message to MP to ask to either quickly add support for embed.ly or revert me back to the old mattertag system until they get this figured out. MP support has always been excellent in the past, so I expect the issue to get resolved, one way or another. Probably, embed.ly 's provider list is outdated. They use oembed standard, https://oembed.com/ . So to embed my own site on mediu, I follow this standard and ask embed.ly for register. Btw, on twitter, you have to follow player card guideline https://developer.twitter.com/en/docs/twitter-for-websites/cards/overview/player-card . ALl you have to do is to set meta tag as twitter tells. Source: over 2 years ago

Now Wikipedia will just save as a link or visual bookmark. Not sure if that's because they changed embed providers. Https://embed.ly/. Source: over 2 years ago
