Drum Machine This is a basic drum machine to keep tempo if you don't own a metronome, but those can be had for free on your phone. Source: about 1 year ago
I would highly recommend enabling click and drag to "paint" notes. As it is right now, if I want 16 closed hats, I have to move, click, 16 times. I'd rather drag to paint based on whatever state of the note I start on. The mutes on the left would be better if they mute the notes, not the sounds. Muting and then enabling can end up playing the tail of some of the longer sounds. This isn't typically how you want... - Source: Hacker News / about 1 year ago
Maybe some google sampler, something extremely limited that makes everything sound good. Something like this https://drumbit.app/. Source: over 1 year ago
I second this. Have a look here https://drumbit.app/. Source: almost 2 years ago
I recently found drumbit.app, and I tried running that straight into my loop pedal to grab the sequence. Unfortunately, my RC-3 doesn't seem to like the kick drum sounds so the beats I make on the app end up sounding different through my amp than they do on my monitors, but it's still kind of fun. Anyway, that might be something for you to play with as you convince yourself to get the SR-16. Source: almost 2 years ago
The original idea of the arpeggios was to learn the neck better and that has happened but the biggest benefit turned out to be increasing my hand strength a lot and also getting my ear in more to chords and scales. I started out doing them at 100 beats per minute now I'm up to 160bpm. I almost always work with a timing device, almost play with drumbit, a free online drum machine. There are ones you can download... Source: almost 2 years ago

Https://drumbit.app/ DrumBit. Use your browser and put together some rhythms. The common “rock” drum beat is to have a kick on every 4 boxes (starting at box #1), a snare on every 8 boxes (starting at box #5) and a hi-hat every 2 boxes (starting at box #1). In an app like that the beat represents 1 bar and 1 bar has 4 beats. Source: over 2 years ago
I was thinking of something like the drumbit.app drum machine site, where it has the 16 columns with each instrument marking beat 1, 2, 3 and 4, and you can adjust BPM and swing and etc. The downside of this site is that you can only use the built in samples. Source: over 2 years ago
Play with drum machine beats or loops instead. There are websites like https://drumbit.app/ where you can set the tempo and customize the beat as much or as little as you like; others use YouTube to find loops to play in time with. Source: over 2 years ago
I've been using weird old TV commercials (since I particularly like abusing those) but there's no reason this couldn't be atempted with any video you wish. All the originals used here were found on YouTube, and links to them appear in the video descriptions. The drums are simple loops I put together on the free web-based drum machine drumbit. Play around with something like https://drumbit.app/. It might help you see drum patterns a little easier. Sequencing drums isn't hard and it doesn't require a ton of indepth knowledge. It's just counting and remembering common patterns. There's rabbit holes you can fall into, but in the beginning, it's just kick on 1 and 3 and snare on 2 and 4. Source: over 2 years ago
u can make something online pretty easy. Beepbox makes melodies. You can make drum beats with this thing. I love this program for texture and noise called blokdust. And obxd is super fun to play around with. Source: almost 3 years ago
For most stuff I use https://drumbit.app/. Source: about 3 years ago
