When I go to directv.com/guide and click the Sign In link in the upper right corner, it takes me to the familiar DirecTV log in screen. After I put in my credentials, there are about 45 different redirects through both directv and att domains, and I eventually land on my AT&T account overview screen and not back at the guide. You have to log into your account at directv.com. Go to the Guide section at the top of the page. There are little heart icons next to each channel #, click the hearts for the channels you want to see in the on-screen guide and the unmarked ones will go away. Source: almost 4 years ago

My favorite little tidbit though: They didn't pay their cable bill on time, so a notice popped up on most of the TV screens saying "Please go to directv.com or call 800-...to pay your bill" One of the channels went out and was just black because of this. Thanks! Did you move before or after the companies split? Also, did you use directv.com or att.com chat? I've been asking if there's any discount/bundle discount but they all say no. Just curious, but have you actually gotten this to work? I've called 3 times, been shot down twice and once told to go to the directv.com chat service. The guy I got there literally lol'd me as soon as I said "stand alone" and told me that I gave a "nice effort" and even he transferred me to someone else who refused. Ok I have the cheapest select package 145+ digital channels , 1 receiver and 1 genie. (Been with them for 8 years so the select package is from all the way back then) my monthly bill is 101 bucks and I just called retention and got 25 off for next 12 months.
