  • Ask HN: Reddit died, nothing took its place. What will happen when HN dies?
    > Probably https://diff.blog/ would be one of the alternatives. Requires a GitHub account to post. Why are site owners like this? - Source: Hacker News / 4 months ago
  • Ask HN: Reddit died, nothing took its place. What will happen when HN dies?
Personally, I feel like nothing happened to Reddit. Communities that I visit are pretty much what they were before Reddit changed its API policies. However, there's a subreddit for reddit alternatives (r/RedditAlternative) if you're curious :)) Lemmy and lobsters are the dominant ones in my mind. For HNews? Probably https://diff.blog/ would be one of the alternatives. I must say, if reddit goes dark today, I'd be... - Source: Hacker News / 4 months ago
  • Beehiiv or Substack for Newsletters?
You could use a personal site and host it in github pages if you don't want to post your content on an existing platform. And since you are interested in computer science, having a personal blog site would add a lot of value in your career. Its not that hard to build one with Hugo Framework if you really just want to get one site up and running. Then link your blog to diff.blog for a wider audience maybe. I have... • If I could bring one thing back to the internet it would be blogs
Https://diff.blog is also a pretty good discovery resource, I've found. - Source: Hacker News / over 2 years ago

Similar to https://diff.blog or https://wibly.me ? - Source: Hacker News / almost 3 years ago
  • Ask HN: Favorite Blogs by Individuals?
A couple of my favorite blogs - http://antirez.com/ - https://martin.kleppmann.com/ - https://devblogs.microsoft.com/oldnewthing - https://ma.tt/ - https://www.allthingsdistributed.com/ - https://jvns.ca/ I am also building a developer blog aggregator to make it super easy to find interesting dev blogs. Checkout https://diff.blog if it sounds interesting to you :). - Source: Hacker News / almost 3 years ago
  • RIP Google Reader
I have been building an RSS reader for developers called https://diff.blog. It's havily integrated with GitHub. It automatically follows the blog of developers as well as organizations you are part of when you sign up. It's been growing steadily over the past 2 years and has over 1200+ users now. Do give it a try! - Source: Hacker News / about 3 years ago
