  Funny meme btw. Personally, I use xorg with 3 displays. Fortunately, the resolution is same on all screens (full HD). I use Komorebi for live wallpapers and conky for sidebar. It works flawlessly. Source: about 3 years ago

  If you are using Wayland, then you may want to do some searches related to "wayland conky transparency" and see what results. Also, if you are using wayland, you will want to be sure you are using the latest possible version of conky, as close to 1.18.x or 1.19.2 as possible, as wayland support is a relatively new addition to conky.   If I had any wishlist items for a game like this in Linux, it would be command-line support, such as a way to control the game from the CLI, or perhaps obtain the status in the console.   It is not like you would write your normal text in completely background window, that would be near to impossible, but there are some special use cases. Think for example Conky, if you are familiar with gnu/Linux and X11. Unfortunately the patch does work for image backgrounds, so we can display for example transparent svg images in Emacs frame, otherwise we could do svg animations on top of desktop.   No, but alot of the functions can be through separate applications, per-monitor wallpapers can be done through hydrapaper, visualizers for music can be done through glava, and the stats readouts can be done through conky. Source: over 4 years ago

  You mean on the right of my display? It's conky, a system monitor that you can configure according to your liking, and there are a lot of themes that you can find here, so you can easily install a theme that someone has made.   Process monitoring is mandatory but CPU and I/O monitoring can be useful. It does a moveable window so I can watch it on a second monitor, along with other app windows, when the app I'm testing is running full screen so conky, although nice, is not quite what I need. In a terminal I use htop and/or iotop but I find graphical apps to be easier to read. I didn't want to have to compile anything or use... Source: over 4 years ago

  No it is a "desktop widget", or I don't now how to call it. If you are familiar with Conky, that it creates same effect. It will just create one window on your desktop and display clock in it.
