ZocialComment started from a frustration most marketers and researchers know too well: trying to get comment data out of a TikTok or Instagram video shouldn't require a $200/month subscription, an API key application, or a 30-minute demo call.
The founder, Kopkap was working on [a campaign / research project / agency client] that needed comment data from a few hundred TikTok videos. Every tool in the market either:
- Cost $50–200 per month with a 14-day trial wall
- Required signup, email verification, and a credit card before showing a single comment
- Mangled non-English characters — dropping Thai, Japanese, and emoji data critical for global campaigns
- Or only worked on one platform — forcing you to juggle 4 different scrapers
So the goal became simple: a tool you can use in 30 seconds, that costs $9 if you need a real project, and works across every platform that matters.
Key design decisions:
- No signup required — the friction was the problem, not a feature to gate
- One-time $9 pass instead of subscription — most users only need this for a project, not a yearly commitment
- Clean + Raw export modes — because a social media manager and a data scientist need different data shapes
- Native multi-language capture from day one — built in Southeast Asia, so Thai/Japanese/Korean had to work perfectly, not as an afterthought
- AI analysis as an optional add-on — not a forced upsell
Today ZocialComment is used by 1,500+ marketers, researchers, and creators who've exported 7.4M+ comments across 7 platforms. The roadmap is shaped entirely by user requests — recent additions (YouTube, Reddit, Facebook, Threads, Lemon8, AI Analysis) all came from email replies.
The mission: make comment data as easy to get as a spreadsheet copy-paste — for anyone, anywhere, in any language.
