Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing WPsigner and Document eSign.

What makes your product unique?

WPsigner's answer

WPsigner is the only native WordPress e-signature solution that combines an incredibly simple 4-step document wizard with bank-grade Biometric KYC verification. Unlike traditional SaaS tools, it keeps 100% of your sensitive legal data completely self-hosted on your own server while maintaining strict eIDAS and ESIGN compliance.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

WPsigner's answer

The biggest reasons are data sovereignty and the end of subscription fatigue. Competitors like DocuSign charge expensive "per-envelope" fees and store your contracts on third-party servers. WPsigner offers unlimited documents and signers with zero monthly fees. Plus, we include unique features like WhatsApp notifications and OTP to help you close deals faster where your clients actually are—on their phones.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

WPsigner's answer

Our primary audience includes WordPress-based digital agencies, freelancers, and small-to-medium businesses (SMBs) that handle sensitive contracts such as real estate, legal, or consulting professionals. It is built specifically for business owners who want to cut SaaS costs and take full control of their data privacy and GDPR compliance.

What's the story behind your product?

WPsigner's answer

I built WPsigner out of sheer frustration. I was tired of paying ridiculous "per-envelope" fees just to get a PDF signed, and I felt uneasy sending my clients' sensitive data to third-party cloud servers. I realized there was a massive gap in the WordPress ecosystem for a truly native, legally binding, and self-hosted e-signature tool that didn't compromise on advanced security (like facial recognition). So, I built the exact solution I needed for my own business.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

WPsigner's answer

WPsigner is built natively for the WordPress ecosystem, utilizing robust PHP and a modern JavaScript stack to power our intuitive, drag-and-drop 4-step wizard. We integrate deeply with the WordPress core to ensure high compatibility (passing 34 plugin conflict checks). For our premium features, we utilize secure APIs to process Biometric KYC identity checks and automated WhatsApp messaging.

Who are some of the biggest customers of your product?

WPsigner's answer

As this is our very first public launch, our current user base consists of an amazing group of early adopters, boutique digital agencies, and indie hackers who have helped us refine the platform. We are building a strong community of forward-thinking businesses that prioritize data privacy, self-hosting, and cost-effective legal compliance.
