I've had my ups and downs with WordPress, I'm not a hardcore fan to be honest, but you can't deny it's popularity. - Source: dev.to / 3 months ago
First up, regular software updates are completely non-negotiable. If you're on a platform like WordPress, this means keeping the core software, your plugins, and your theme updated. These updates often contain critical security patches that protect your site from hackers. - Source: dev.to / 2 months ago
Open source software is built on the democratic idea that everyone should be able to inspect and contribute to the source code. I don't have a plan for https://pagecord.com. Life's too short. YOLO, etc. My app is relatively feature rich right now so I would say I spend a lot more time on marketing. Trying to figure out distribution channels, build awareness and so on is the hard yards in 2025. - Source: Hacker News / 4 months ago
I have a single server running https://pagecord.com. I use Hatchbox on a Hetzner server. I wrote a bit about it here: https://olly.pagecord.com/migrating-the-pagecord-rails-app-from-aws-to-hetzner-373cf4cc I have plenty of paying customers but I still think K8s would be complete overkill at this stage. - Source: Hacker News / 4 months ago
