Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing WordPress and fivedaylaunch.

What makes your product unique?

fivedaylaunch's answer:

fivedaylaunch is a done-for-you website studio for local service businesses — plumbers, salons, cafes, dentists, gyms, real estate agents, and similar owner-operated shops. Unlike DIY builders where the owner has to build the site themselves, and unlike agencies that charge $2,500–$8,000 upfront, fivedaylaunch delivers a real hand-designed website plus an owner portal in 5 business days, starting at $25/month with no upfront fee, no annual contract. Every plan includes hosting, SSL, backups, and human support. What's genuinely different: a real designer builds the site (not a template you fill in yourself, not a purely AI-generated draft), the owner portal replaces 3-4 separate tools (bookings, invoices, customer messages, analytics), and the pricing is intentionally set for owner-operators, not enterprise.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

fivedaylaunch's answer:

Wix, Squarespace, and GoDaddy are DIY tools — after the first-year promo ends, they cost the same or more than fivedaylaunch, but the small-business owner is still the one building and maintaining the site. Weekends get burned on design decisions, staging pages, editing content. Local agencies solve that problem but charge $2,500–$8,000 upfront plus $150–$400/month maintenance, which is unaffordable for most owner-operated shops.

fivedaylaunch splits the difference: no upfront fee, no contract, monthly pricing that starts at $25/mo (same tier as Wix Unlimited post-promo), but a real human designer builds and maintains the site. The delivery window is 5 business days, so the shop owner isn't stuck in a months-long agency engagement. Migrating from Wix, Squarespace, GoDaddy, or Weebly is included and preserves SEO via 301 redirects.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

fivedaylaunch's answer:

Owner-operated local service businesses in the US and India — the person running the shop is also the person considering the website. Concrete examples: independent hair salons and barbershops, single-location cafes and bakeries, plumbers/electricians/HVAC contractors, dentists and optometrists, veterinarians, real estate agents, photographers, gyms, cleaning services, tattoo studios, chiropractors.

What they have in common: 1–20 employees, revenue under ~$2M/year, no in-house marketing person, currently either on Wix/Squarespace/GoDaddy or nothing at all, actively frustrated with the trade-off between DIY (too much time) and agency (too much money). Not the audience: e-commerce merchants (Shopify fits better), venture-backed startups, or businesses that already have a $500+/month marketing team.

What's the story behind your product?

fivedaylaunch's answer:

fivedaylaunch was built by Naresh Kallepalle under Kiyansh Group LLC in Aubrey, Texas. The idea came from the same pattern showing up over and over in small-business conversations: owners saying either "I tried Wix and gave up" or "the agency I hired wanted $5,000 upfront and I couldn't justify it." Both of those are real problems with the current market, and neither is being solved for the actual customer segment — owner-operated shops that need a website but don't have 20 hours a week to build one.

The 5-day timeline is a deliberate constraint, not a marketing slogan. Anything longer and shop owners drift; anything shorter and quality drops. Pricing tiers ($25 / $36 / $52 per month) map to real cost tiers for hand-design, portal features, and booking integration. The company launched publicly in mid-2026 and is currently in its first-100-customers phase, deliberately keeping the audience narrow to owner-operated local service businesses.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

fivedaylaunch's answer:

Backend: Node.js + Express for the customer portal, small Python microservice for AI-assisted content generation and outreach automation. Databases: SQLite with WAL mode (yes, in production — well within our scale and eliminates operational overhead). Frontend: hand-written HTML/CSS with a schema-driven templating layer — no React, no build step, no bundler. Ships at ~15 KB per page. Hosting: single Digital Ocean server currently, will horizontally scale when justified. AI: Claude Haiku for content pipeline where it adds value, template + heuristic fallback where determinism matters more than creativity. Deliberately unfancy tech choices — for our scale, boring is the correct answer.

Who are some of the biggest customers of your product?

fivedaylaunch's answer:

fivedaylaunch launched publicly in mid-2026 and is currently in its first-100-customers phase. Case studies and named references will be published on the site at fivedaylaunch.com/customers as customers give permission. Early conversations have been with independent dental practices, cafes, and salons in the US, with the India expansion focused on similar owner-operated shops.
