Crossover is based on wine, an open source compatibility layer and they certainly contribute to it. There are some free alternatives based on this which donโt have all its features but you may have some luck. https://winebottler.kronenberg.org is one. Source: almost 4 years ago
Long shot but you could try bundling the ps2exe executable with wine: Winebottler. Source: almost 4 years ago

In what way did you show the file comparison? Did you use a diff like diffchecker.com ? If someone can see for themselves that every bit of data between two files is exactly the same, and still thinks they are different, IDK how you could get past that. x == x is pretty fundamental. How do I find the actual difference between two strings that appear equal to the naked eye? I used multiple tools and some show no differences, but some show differences. I got diffs on diffchecker.com, but it just shows me that they are different, but not how they differ. Is there a better tool for this? Source: over 3 years ago
I am wondering if there's something that allows you to easily display differences between two json like on diffchecker.com. Is there a library that allows you to easily do that? Source: almost 4 years ago
