Cachely is the managed self-hosted remote cache for Nx and Turborepo - the cache backend you'd otherwise build and run yourself, hosted for you on Cloudflare's edge (R2). It's a drop-in replacement for a DIY @nx/s3-cache / S3 bucket setup: point your build tool at Cachely with a token and two environment variables, and share build cache across CI and every developer's laptop.

Unlike a self-hosted cache, Cachely enforces read-only tokens at the API, so pull-request and fork builds can read but never write - closing the Nx cache-poisoning attack (CVE-2025-36852). It adds ROI reporting (the real build minutes and dollars the cache saved), per-tool insights, and build-optimization suggestions on top.

Pricing is a flat per-workspace subscription with no per-seat fees - add every developer, bot, and CI actor without watching the bill. Cachely never stores your source code; it caches only task outputs and their content hashes. Nx and Turborepo today; Bazel on the roadmap.

Web3 Storage features and specs

  • Decentralization
Web3 Storage leverages decentralized networks like IPFS to distribute data across multiple nodes, reducing reliance on a single server and enhancing resilience and censorship resistance.
  • Data Persistence
Data is stored across a distributed network, meaning files are less likely to be lost compared to traditional centralized storage solutions which may suffer from single points of failure.
  • Privacy and Security
Content is hashed and stored across multiple nodes, ensuring that data is protected and only accessible by those with the correct decryption keys, enhancing data security.
  • Interoperability
Web3 Storage is designed to work seamlessly with other decentralized services and blockchain networks, enhancing user interaction and integration options.
  • Cost Efficiency
Utilizing decentralized storage can potentially reduce costs by using underutilized storage capacities across global networks rather than investing in expensive centralized data centers.

Possible disadvantages of Web3 Storage

  • Complexity
Setting up and maintaining decentralized storage solutions can be more complex and require more technical knowledge than traditional centralized systems.
  • Performance Latency
Decentralized networks may experience higher latency compared to centralized systems due to the nature of retrieving data from various distributed nodes.
  • Data Mutability
Once data is uploaded to a decentralized storage network, modifying or deleting it can be challenging, as the content is often immutable to ensure integrity.
  • Adoption Hurdles
Web3 technologies are still emerging, meaning they may face slow adoption rates compared to more established traditional storage solutions.
  • Scalability Issues
Some decentralized storage networks might face scalability challenges, especially with increasing data demands and variable node availability.

Cachely.dev features and specs

  • Simplified Caching Setup
Cachely.dev likely offers an easy-to-integrate caching layer that reduces the complexity of manually configuring caching infrastructure, allowing developers to implement caching with minimal setup time.
  • Performance Improvement
By providing a dedicated caching solution, Cachely.dev can help reduce latency and improve application response times, especially for frequently accessed data or API responses.
  • Developer-Focused Design
The .dev domain and branding suggest the product is tailored specifically for developers, potentially offering clean APIs, SDKs, and documentation that fit into modern development workflows.
  • Scalability
As a specialized caching service, it may be built to handle scaling automatically, removing the burden of managing cache infrastructure as traffic grows.
  • Reduced Backend Load
Effective caching can significantly reduce the load on primary databases and backend services, potentially lowering infrastructure costs and improving overall system reliability.

  • I'm building Flash โ€” a service to deploy websites and apps on the new decentralized stack
I'm building Flash โ€” a service to deploy websites and apps on the new decentralized stack. It relies on public infrastructure (such as Estuary, web3.storage and others) instead of providing its own, making the bandwidth and storage very cheap and accessible. Source: about 3 years ago

  • Which data is currently decentralized stored on IPFS?
Web3.Storage and other similar projects run a network of IPFS nodes that allow users to store whatever content they like, as a kind of competitor to Dropbox or Google Drive: this could be their personal content, or again, any application content, because some apps integrate directly with this service via their API. • Holders! Please tell me how you use filecoin
Typically app developers would be the ones to build on Filecoin and you would choose an app like web3.storage to store your data. As a consumer you dont have to directly hold FIL but you benefit from the Filecoin ecosystem. Source: over 3 years ago
