Analysis

An editorial look at what each product does well and who it suits.

WCAGCheck.app
Codeisfun

Overall verdict

  • WCAGCheck.app appears to be a useful and practical tool for teams and individuals looking to evaluate web accessibility against WCAG standards, offering quick automated checks and actionable feedback. As with most automated accessibility scanners, it works best as part of a broader accessibility strategy that also includes manual testing.

Why this product is good

  • Automates checks against WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) success criteria, saving time on manual audits
  • Provides actionable reports that highlight specific issues and how to fix them
  • Helps teams catch common accessibility problems like color contrast, missing alt text, and improper heading structures early
  • Useful for maintaining legal compliance with accessibility regulations such as ADA and Section 508
  • Lowers the barrier to entry for developers and content creators who are new to accessibility

Recommended for

  • Web developers and front-end engineers who want to integrate accessibility checks into their workflow
  • Small businesses and agencies needing quick compliance validation
  • Content creators and marketers ensuring their pages are inclusive
  • QA teams performing accessibility regression testing
  • Organizations working toward WCAG, ADA, or Section 508 compliance

Overall verdict

  • I don't have verified, current information confirming the existence, offerings, or reputation of a specific site at codeisfun.com, so I can't responsibly confirm whether it's 'good.' Treat any claims about it with caution until you verify directly.

Why this product is good

  • No reliable, up-to-date data available on this specific domain's content, reviews, or reputation.
  • Domain names can change ownership or purpose over time, so past information may not reflect current status.
  • Without verifying details like company registration, user reviews, security certificates, and actual content, it's not possible to vouch for quality or legitimacy.
  • Generic-sounding coding/education domains are sometimes used for placeholder pages, parked domains, or rebranded services, which adds uncertainty.

Recommended for

  • Users willing to independently verify the site's legitimacy via WHOIS lookup, SSL certificate check, and third-party reviews before engaging.
  • People comfortable doing due diligence (checking Trustpilot, Reddit, or Better Business Bureau) before trusting an unfamiliar platform.
  • Not recommended for entering payment or personal information without first confirming the site's authenticity and security.

Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing WCAGCheck.app and Codeisfun.

What makes your product unique?

WCAGCheck.app's answer

Most accessibility tools require a live URL, a browser extension install, or a CI pipeline setup. WCAG Accessibility Checker works with a paste — you can check any HTML snippet, a template, or a component in isolation before it's even deployed. It also gives plain-English fix instructions, not just error codes that require a WCAG spec lookup.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

WCAGCheck.app's answer

WAVE and Lighthouse require a live URL. axe requires a browser extension or test runner integration. WCAG Accessibility Checker requires nothing — paste HTML, click run, get results. It's the fastest way to do a spot check during development or review. Zero friction means developers actually use it.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

WCAGCheck.app's answer

Frontend developers and UI/UX designers who need to verify accessibility compliance without setting up a full audit pipeline. Also useful for accessibility auditors doing manual reviews of client code, and product managers verifying components before launch.

What's the story behind your product?

WCAGCheck.app's answer

Accessibility audits are expensive — a professional audit can cost hundreds or thousands of dollars. A lot of that cost covers things a script can catch in milliseconds. I built this so developers can fix the obvious issues before they ever reach an auditor, making both the developer's and auditor's job easier.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

WCAGCheck.app's answer

HTML5, vanilla JavaScript, CSS3. Accessibility rules are implemented as pure JavaScript functions that parse and traverse the DOM representation of the pasted HTML. No external APIs, no backend, no dependencies.

Who are some of the biggest customers of your product?

WCAGCheck.app's answer

WCAG Accessibility Checker is a free tool used by individual developers, designers, and accessibility auditors. It has no paid tiers or enterprise customers.
