What really stuck with me is the idea of distinguishing between the free floating space (360° to place your windows), and the "Deck" to the bottom with distinct slots to put windows into. The best you're going to see, until something is actually announced from a major player, is really just concept projects. Like VR-OS or Infinity Cube.
