I've not used vimwiki locally (tho I'm old enough to remember the Vim wiki on vim.org :), but I think what you are wanting to do is extend vimwiki's syntax file. I presume it installs one at $VIMRUNTIM/syntax or or ~/.vim/syntax. If this sounds right, then create a ~/.vim/after/syntax/vimwiki.vim file and place your match command in there. I write in Vim with some customizations in my vimrc to gear it more towards prose writing than code editing. I record my cycle rides with an app, then I download them as .gpx to combine into one map later so I can keep track of them. The problem is my GPS is slightly inaccurate, so the lines are not exactly on the road, which looks messy. The only way I have found to fix this is to use a snap to grid tool from OS Maps or gpx.studio (both use OSM data), but I have to individually move each point to get them to all snap...
