  • Show HN: Firefox addon to quarantine a tab to use offline with private data
Thanks, now I can begin using https://gpx.studio. - Source: Hacker News / over 2 years ago
  • Snap To Road
I record my cycle rides with an app, then I download them as .gpx to combine into one map later so I can keep track of them. The problem is my GPS is slightly inaccurate, so the lines are not exactly on the road, which looks messy. The only way I have found to fix this is to use a snap to grid tool from OS Maps or gpx.studio (both use OSM data), but I have to individually move each point to get them to all snap... • Where to check the road surface of Eurovelo?
Usually I plan my trips with gpx.studio, but now gpx.studio tells me that parts of ev3 are not paved, where as it looks paved on street view. Source: almost 3 years ago
  • Do hiking trails come with the maps on fenix7?
Or you can use tools like this to create your own gpx files. Or even the one build in in garmin connect. Source: almost 3 years ago
  • Best *FREE* long distance route planner
My setup is gpx.studio in browser to do planning. Source: almost 3 years ago
  • Hacklebarney State Park, New Jersey
I got into Garmin ecosystem this year, haven't been lost ever since, there are free websites like gpx.studio where you can design own trail path & load it into the watch. This is a snapshot of hike statistics from their website. Source: almost 3 years ago
  • 3D view to analyse our trail
I personally like https://gpx.studio for quick visualisation of GPX tracks. Source: almost 3 years ago
  • is there any app that will remove the first and last 5 mins from a GPX or KML file?
I've never done it, but was curious about it. Have you checked out GPX Studio? Source: almost 3 years ago
  • Only recorded second half of bike ride with Garmin but have approx times for first half - is there a way to add them to the activity?
Suggestion: create a GPX with Strava or gpx.studio or any other tool, for the first half. Add timing via https://gotoes.org/strava/Add_Timestamps_To_GPX.php. Combine the fake and real GPX file. Source: almost 3 years ago
  • Printing maps
This blog suggests to use https://kso.etjanster.lantmateriet.se/?lang=en (however the site didn't open on mobile for me). I'd simply have the Calazo paper maps and a compass as a backup, probably not needed. I did a quick search and https://www.printmaps.net/ has a free web print version (and paid maps more expensive than Calazo maps), they also have Komoot import. Personally I export GPX (from any route planning... Source: almost 3 years ago
  • Trying to plan out a route for 100km hike
Https://gpx.studio/ is a free online alternative, upload a GPX and modify it to your liking. Waypoints can be added too. Source: almost 3 years ago
  • Where to find routes?
Between the above, osmand, and https://gpx.studio/ you should be able to have routes, customisation, offline maps, offline route plotting on the fly (e.g. Google maps refuses directions offline), and it's all free. Though toss them a few quid if you do get use out of it. Source: almost 3 years ago
  • Extracting and merging multiple tracks out of one gpx, how?
I needed to do that for Eurovelo 3. I merged the gpx using this site https://gpx.studio/ you can upload your whole batch of little gpx to create a big one. But beware Komoot don't allow you to upload such a long gpx, it will fail. What I did for EV3 is create a multi tour by country with my settings and I've stored my little tours on a collection and I will edit day by day the departure point based on where will... • Is it possible to "stretch" the length of a run?
Not in Strava - but you can play around with something like this: https://gpx.studio. Source: about 3 years ago
  • [Guide][Advanced] How to recover a lost ride recorded in your phone through Google Location History
As you can see above look how effed up the data points are! It turns out naka-on ang location history ko sa tablet ko sa bahay kaya ganyan. We can't post this as it is so we need to further edit the gpx file. I'm using GPX Studio in my case. Source: about 3 years ago
  • How to turn your phone into a Co-driver with pacenotes for your local roads. Google Maps doesn't work
Create a custom route-stage in a .gpx file that snaps onto the roads, and choose the roads with the most squiggles :) https://gpx.studio/ is a friendly site to do this with. If you turn on the "Motorcycle" activity your route will snap to follow the roads smoothly. Source: about 3 years ago
  • Deleting Inaccurate PRs
Download the activity, upload it to gpx.studio (the website has porblems with heart rate data) fix the errors. Delete the original from strava. Upload the updated one. Source: about 3 years ago
  • How do you find gravel routes?
Https://gpx.studio To create my own routes, it becomes more of an adventure. Source: about 3 years ago
  • Remove descents from a .gpx
You might be able to use gpx studio to break it up into ascents only and combine it back together https://gpx.studio/. Source: about 3 years ago
  • Route Planning Applications
By comparison, I then used gpx.studio and it did everything first time out. But gpx doesn't have surrounding route information like closest campsite and stuff like that. So, that's where I'm trying to figure out the best software for that. Nobody seems to do both well. Source: about 3 years ago
  • GPX upload to watch: best practice?
When I upload the file to Explore it shows no elevation data at all. However, the data still shows up perfectly fine on gpx.studio, OsmAnd Maps and of course the text editor. Source: about 3 years ago
