DNSFilterVim is recommended for programmers, developers, and system administrators who require a highly efficient and customizable text editing experience. It is especially useful for those who work extensively in terminal environments or need a quick, resource-light text editor for remote systems.
Vim might be a bit more popular than DNSFilter. We know about 10 links to it since March 2021 and only 9 links to DNSFilter. Lua is quite small, encouraging distros to include it. The ubuntu gvim has, and the gvim AppImage linked from vim.org does. The default Makefile from github is set up to not include it, but you can uncomment one line there to get it. Source: over 3 years ago
I've not used vimwiki locally (tho I'm old enough to remember the Vim wiki on vim.org :), but I think what you are wanting to do is extend vimwiki's syntax file. I presume it installs one at $VIMRUNTIM/syntax or or ~/.vim/syntax. If this sounds right, then create a ~/.vim/after/syntax/vimwiki.vim file and place your match command in there. The domain name system translates human understandable names like dnsfilter.com into computer readable IP addresses like 44.207.21.146. More than that, DNS is the communication protocol used by all internet connected devices to send and receive resources across the internet. Source: over 3 years ago
Eero Secure does produce its fair share of false-positives. Last I knew it was using dnsfilter.com behind the scenes, so it might be more efficient to contact that party if you want to try delisting. Source: almost 4 years ago
