I build features that are requested fast and also aren't HR oriented. I believe that if I build a great platform for real users than it will be better for everybody.

I presume it installs one at $VIMRUNTIM/syntax or or ~/.vim/syntax. If this sounds right, then create a ~/.vim/after/syntax/vimwiki.vim file and place your match command in there.
