SayIt.Now is a lightweight customer feedback widget for websites and web apps.

Instead of vague feedback like โ€œthis is brokenโ€, users can point directly at the issue, annotate the screen, and explain what they were trying to do. That context is captured automatically, so teams understand problems faster and with far less back-and-forth.

What it does

  • Lets users click anywhere on your site to leave feedback
  • Captures screenshots with in-browser annotations
  • Collects written feedback alongside optional NPS / CSAT
  • Sends feedback to a simple dashboard or straight to tools like Slack, Discord, Microsoft Teams, Zapier or other platforms via webhooks

Why it exists

Most feedback tools are either:

  • too basic to be useful, or
  • overloaded with enterprise features and pricing

SayIt.Now sits in the middle. Itโ€™s easy to add, easy to manage, and focused on giving you feedback you can actually act on.

Built for small product teams who want better feedback without the enterprise overhead.

Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing Vim Python IDE and SayIt.now.

What makes your product unique?

SayIt.now's answer:

  • Feedback in context, not after the fact
Users donโ€™t have to describe issues in abstract terms. They can point directly at the problem, annotate the screen, and explain what they were trying to do.

  • Built around real user intent
SayIt.Now captures what the user was attempting, not just what broke. That dramatically reduces guesswork and follow-up questions.

  • Lightweight by design
No bloated workflows, no enterprise process, no heavy setup. Add the widget, start collecting feedback, and route it where you already work.

  • One place for qualitative feedback and signals
Screenshot feedback, written explanations, and optional NPS / CSAT live together instead of being split across multiple tools.

  • Opinionated and focused
SayIt.Now does one job well: helping teams understand problems faster. It intentionally avoids feature creep, marketplaces, and โ€œall-in-oneโ€ complexity.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

SayIt.now's answer:

  • Most feedback tools collect opinions after the fact. SayIt.Now captures feedback at the exact moment the user hits a problem, while the page and intent are still fresh.

  • Competing tools often split context across multiple systems (screenshots here, surveys there, tickets elsewhere). SayIt.Now keeps the visual issue, written explanation, and optional NPS/CSAT together in a single feedback item.

  • Many alternatives are designed for large organisations and come with heavy setup, rigid workflows, or enterprise pricing. SayIt.Now is intentionally small, fast to integrate, and opinionated toward small product teams.

  • For bug report and problem solving usecases, SayIt.Now focuses on understanding what the user was trying to do, not just what went wrong. That reduces misinterpretation and speeds up fixes compared to generic bug reports. Users can provide an annotated screenshot using our built in editor right on your website, making it a fantastic way of reducing friction in finding the solution.

  • There is no attempt to be an โ€œall-in-oneโ€ platform. By avoiding feature creep, SayIt.Now stays easier to use, easier to maintain, and easier to reason about than larger competitors.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

SayIt.now's answer:

SayIt.Now is built for small to mid-sized product teams that build and maintain web-based products.

The primary audience includes: - SaaS founders and indie developers who need clear, actionable feedback without enterprise tooling - Product managers and designers who want to see exactly what users are struggling with - Engineering teams who need reproducible, contextual issues rather than vague bug reports

It is not aimed at large enterprises with complex approval workflows, nor at consumer survey use cases. The focus is on teams that ship frequently and want fast, practical insight into real user problems.

What's the story behind your product?

SayIt.now's answer:

SayIt.Now was built out of frustration with existing feedback tools.

We were using another product internally, but it was clunky, unreliable, and eventually shut down without warning. That left us scrambling, and the alternatives werenโ€™t much better. Most were either bloated with enterprise features, slow to use, or trying to do everything in a single messy interface.

We wanted something simpler: a small widget that lets users point at a problem, explain what they were trying to do, and send that feedback somewhere useful without friction.

When we couldnโ€™t find a tool that did that well, we built SayIt.Now.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

SayIt.now's answer:

  • Backend built with PHP using the Laravel framework
  • Frontend widget written in JavaScript, designed to be embedded into any website or web app
  • Screenshot capture and in-browser annotation handled client-side
  • Data stored in a relational database (MySQL-compatible)
  • File storage handled via cloud object storage for screenshots
  • Webhook-based integrations for Slack, Discord, Microsoft Teams, and custom endpoints
  • Stripe used for billing and subscriptions

Who are some of the biggest customers of your product?

SayIt.now's answer:

  • Ourselves - SayIt.Now was built to solve our own problems first
  • GeneratePDFs.com - used for collecting in-product feedback and support issues
  • Hosted.MD - used to capture contextual feedback from real users
  • ServerAuth.com - used for SaaS product feedback and issue reporting

SayIt.Now is still early, so our biggest users right now are our own products. Thatโ€™s intentional - itโ€™s being exercised daily in real production SaaS environments, not just demos.
