Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing Vetted Safe and EHS Insight.

What makes your product unique?

Vetted Safe's answer

Vetted Safe combines OSHA-aligned training and full HSE/safety management in one affordable, self-serve platform built for the plant floor โ€” not just inspections. Workers report hazards and request work permits by scanning a QR code (no login), the SDS library auto-extracts data from uploaded PDFs and flags out-of-date sheets, and permits flow through a digital manager-to-production sign-off. It's enterprise-grade capability priced and scoped for the 20โ€“500-employee shop.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

Vetted Safe's answer

Most safety tools are either inspection-first (SafetyCulture) or built and priced for large enterprises (KPA, EHS Insight, VelocityEHS). Vetted Safe bundles training, certificates, permits, SDS, near-miss reporting, incidents, and contractor management together for one transparent price, with self-serve signup and no enterprise implementation project. You get 200+ ready-to-use courses, QR-based frontline reporting, and branded executive reports out of the box running the same day.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

Vetted Safe's answer

Small-to-mid-size industrial and field-work employers with OSHA obligations but no dedicated safety software โ€” manufacturers, contractors and skilled trades, warehouses/logistics, and specialty operators (e.g., firearm/range facilities). The typical user is a safety manager, EHS coordinator, plant/production manager, or owner at a 20โ€“500-employee company replacing spreadsheets, binders, and paper forms.

What's the story behind your product?

Vetted Safe's answer

Vetted Safe was created by people who lived the problem on the production floor โ€” chasing training records in spreadsheets, missing SDS updates, and running permits and near-miss forms on paper. Enterprise EHS tools were too expensive and too complex for the mid-size plants that needed them most. So we built the system we wished we'd had: one place to train workers, capture hazards, manage permits and SDS, and prove compliance โ€” simple enough that a busy manager can run it without a software team.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

Vetted Safe's answer

React + TypeScript and Vite on the front end; Node.js/Express with Drizzle ORM and PostgreSQL (Neon) on the back end; Tailwind CSS for the UI; Stripe for billing; Resend for transactional email; QR generation and PDF reporting built in. Delivered as a multi-tenant, mobile-friendly SaaS.
