VercelWe have been using Vercel to host some of our internally developed apps that help our team run our operations on Vercel and have found it to be a very developer friendly platform. With our apps built in Next JS it is a natural fit and the dev op pipelines can quickly and easily be configured. As these are internal apps used by our team they don't need to support huge traffic volumes so pricing has been affordable for us.
Based on our record, Vercel seems to be a lot more popular than Userscripts. While we know about 653 links to Vercel, we've tracked only 14 mentions of Userscripts. We are tracking product recommendations and mentions on various public social media platforms and blogs. They can help you identify which product is more popular and what people think of it.
What replaced the laptop, before we get to the schema: Health Auto Export now posts straight to a Vercel function on a daily schedule, a scheduled job pulls lifting history from Liftosaur, and both land in TimescaleDB on Tiger Cloud. No files, no iCloud, no Mac. A Next.js app reads it and tells me whether I hit protein, which is a separate post. - Source: dev.to / 18 days ago
Vercel Hobby is free for personal, non-commercial projects and is built around HTTP serverless functions and static frontends. Node.js is the primary runtime, and Vercel does a lot of Next.js-specific work for you automatically: caching pages that don't change often, running lightweight functions close to the user, resizing images, and running middleware on every request. Hobby includes 100 GB of bandwidth per... - Source: dev.to / about 2 months ago
Vercel is where JS-heavy Heroku apps land when the shape they really wanted was framework-native serverless, especially anything on Next.js. ISR caching, edge functions, image optimization, middleware, and the AI SDK all wire up automatically from the framework's build output, so the parts of the app Heroku was serving as HTTP handlers become serverless functions that don't pay for idle time. - Source: dev.to / about 2 months ago
What went wrong: The security commit added a Content-Security-Policy Header with connect-src 'self' https://*.public.blob.vercel-storage.com. The Vercel Blob SDK's client-side upload() makes a PUT to Https://vercel.com/api/blob. That domain wasn't in connect-src. The browser silently blocked the request. - Source: dev.to / 2 months ago
A host: A host is really just a computer that stays powered on and connected to the internet with a public address of its own. When a visitor types in the app's address, their browser sends a request across the internet to that machine, the machine runs the code, and it sends the finished page back. A laptop was quietly doing both jobs during the build, the server and the only visitor allowed in; a host is that... - Source: dev.to / 2 months ago

Hi, I'm Will. I'm 24, autistic, and have OCD tendencies. I'm learning to code and this is my first public project. I’d really appreciate your feedback and encouragement! This project lets me solve some of my OCD problems online. There are a couple of parts of the forums that I visit – Space Battles, Sufficient Velocity, and Questionable Questing – that I want to remove. Specifically, I hate seeing indicators of... - Source: Hacker News / over 2 years ago

That Safari also supports UserScripts and Extensions also somewhat mutes some of Arc's benefits, so it will be interesting to see how/if Arc responds. Source: about 3 years ago
