Vaultdef's answer
One platform for every DPDP-mandated function — discovery and classification, RoPA, consent and notices, DSAR, breach, DPIA, processors and cross-border, cookie CMP, retention/erasure — versus consent-only tools that leave the rest to spreadsheets. Defensible evidence: hash-chained audit trail, signed consent receipts, RFC 3161 timestamps, 63 BSA 2023 evidence certificates. India-native: checksum-validated Aadhaar/GSTIN/card detection, notices in all 22 scheduled languages plus English, on-prem/private-cloud for banks. Rupee commercials sized per branch (banks) or per data principal (corporates), with local implementation and 24x7 operations
Vaultdef's answer
Data Fiduciaries under the DPDP Act, typically mid-to-large Indian enterprises likely to be designated Significant Data Fiduciaries. Core segment: BFSI — scheduled, cooperative and regional rural banks, NBFCs, insurers, brokers, fintechs — where RBI/SEBI/IRDAI mandates stack on top of DPDP. Second ring: consumer-scale enterprises in consumer durables/manufacturing, pharma, healthcare, education and auto holding lakhs to crores of data-principal records. Buyer persona: CISO/Head IT Security holds budget, DPO owns the requirement, Compliance/Legal co-signs. Reached direct and through an authorised distributor, reseller and SI network.
Vaultdef's answer
VaultDef DPDP Solution is built by OnThreat Pvt Ltd, a Mumbai-based software company founded by a team that runs offensive, defensive and compliance security as one practice — red-team and VAPT, SOC operations and incident response, and regulatory audit and advisory for regulated Indian enterprises. That combination shaped the product: the offensive side knows where personal data actually leaks and how attackers reach it, the defensive side knows what an SOC can operate at scale, and the compliance side knows what a regulator or court will ask for after the fact. When the DPDP Act 2023 and DPDP Rules 2025 fixed hard dates (consent-manager interoperability from 13 Nov 2026, full compliance by 13 May 2027), the market offered two options: consent-only widgets, or GDPR-first global suites priced in dollars and blind to Indian identifiers, languages and evidentiary standards. VaultDef was engineered ground-up for the Indian statute: multi-tenant, scan-driven discovery, and a tamper-evident evidence layer designed for regulator inquiries and litigation, not just dashboards. What makes it unique — add as the opening line: "Built by practitioners who attack, defend and audit systems for a living — so discovery is scan-based like a pentester would do it, controls are operable by a SOC, and every record is evidence-grade for an auditor or a court."
Vaultdef's answer
The cryptographic evidence layer (Merkle-rooted dataset hashes, signed census manifests) — no other DPDP-tool vendor ships chain-of-custody by design. Discovery and RoPA derived from live scans across 57 connector kinds rather than questionnaires. Org-tree multi-tenancy with strict row-level isolation, so a parent and its subsidiaries run under one deployment. And a channel-first OEM model where partners can own the account.
