It is basically designed to optimize the route that your connection takes to certain servers, including League's servers. • Spike lags?

  Unforutnately you have no control of what happens along the route between you and the server. The only two things you have control of is opening your ports on your router and it sounds kinda cheesy, but I live in Utah and I have experienced amazing results using Haste. Source: over 5 years ago
