  • How to fix my fucking wifi
Install Haste. I recently moved, and my new wifi was pretty inconsistent. I remembered seeing some ads for this application called haste awhile back and decided to check it out. It is basically designed to optimize the route that your connection takes to certain servers, including League's servers. Still get afew lag spikes, but it is far less common than when I originally moved. https://haste.net/. Source: about 5 years ago
  • Equalize Ping for NA vs EU Matches
Greenland is definitely closer geographically to NA but the routing options and bandwidth aren't great between it and the rest of NA. On the other side though, Iceland looks to be quite well connected to mainland EU and then has a single cable to Greenland from there. Obviously a lot testing would need to occur and the use of network routing prioritization/stabilizations tools like https://www.getoutfox.com/ and... Source: about 5 years ago
  • Lag lag lag lag
Haste helps me and a couple of my friends with ping issues but its not guaranteed to work for everyone. You could give it a try. Source: about 5 years ago
  • VPN info for high ping players.
Things like haste.net, kill ping, and wtfast, are just vpn's configured to prioritize ping. Source: about 5 years ago
  • Spike lags?
Unforutnately you have no control of what happens along the route between you and the server. The only two things you have control of is opening your ports on your router and it sounds kinda cheesy, but I live in Utah and I have experienced amazing results using Haste. Source: over 5 years ago
  • [EU] VAL 43 - error connecting to platform
A work around that got me in was to use the haste app (https://haste.net). Haste will try to optimize your network path to the game server. Source: over 5 years ago
  • My best server changed
Same thing happened to me, its an isp routing problem. There are several VPN services that can help fix this problem for you, I live in denton, tx and went from 45 ping to 9 ping on texas servers with haste, I've also heard good things about exitlag but that one's paid. Source: over 5 years ago
  • Ping is so bad in this game
Because networking is crazy. Crytek has basically no control over this. Your local ISP is probably routing you some weird route that is adding the ping time. Additionally, you could have your data being routed through a node that is having technical issues or something. Honestly there's tons of reasons this could happen, and the frustrating reality is that there's little you (or Crytek) can do about it since the... Source: over 5 years ago

Summary of the public mentions of Haste

Haste, a network optimization tool primarily aimed at gamers, has emerged as a noteworthy solution in the realm of reducing lag and improving connectivity issues often encountered in online gaming. Public opinion on Haste appears to be mixed, yet generally positive among users seeking alternatives to common VPN-based solutions like WTFast, ExitLag, and Kill Ping.

The core appeal of Haste lies in its ability to optimize the routing path of users' internet connections to gaming servers, effectively lowering ping and mitigating lag spikes. Reviews and discussions in gaming forums highlight its utility, particularly in addressing connectivity problems for popular games such as League of Legends and Overwatch. One user noted that after moving to a new location with inconsistent Wi-Fi, Haste significantly improved their connection stability, although minor lag spikes remained.

The platform is often recommended as a viable substitute for WTFast, especially for gamers seeking a free option that supports specific titles like Overwatch. This endorsement points to its perceived value, particularly in the domain of free-to-use, game-specific optimizations while still rubbing shoulders with premium alternatives in terms of performance.

Despite these favorable assessments, there are caveats to Haste's effectiveness. Some users acknowledge that, while it provides a perceptible improvement in most cases, results can vary based on individual ISP routing issues and geographic considerations. Notably, it has been suggested that Haste does not entirely eliminate lag, as network conditions and server locations inevitably influence final outcomes. Anecdotal evidence from users in different regions โ€“ such as Greenland - underscores that regional infrastructure might also impact performance improvements offered by such services.

Another salient point appears in forums discussing the broader category of VPN solutions for gaming. Haste, alongside competitors, is frequently tagged as a VPN configured to prioritize ping. This classification positions it within a crowded field of solutions aimed at gamers, yet its specialization in route optimization provides a distinct advantage beyond the general ping reduction offered by traditional VPNs.

Additionally, the market perception of Haste reveals that it is intuitive to use and accessible, attributes likely contributing to its growing adoption among gamers. Its focus on seamlessly improving network paths without extensive user intervention has garnered appreciation from individuals who prefer less technical involvement.

In summary, while Haste is not a panacea for all connectivity issues, it stands out in user discussions as an effective network optimization tool with specific strengths in particular gaming contexts. The variability in performance based on network conditions underscores the complexity of online gaming connections, yet Haste succeeds in offering a solution that many find valuable when conventional ISP services fall short.
